The original silent adaptation by Ford is thought to be lost today. ==Plot== Three thieves, Robert (John_Wayne), William (Harry_Carey_Jr.), and Pete (Pedro_Armendáriz), rob a bank in Arizona and flee from the posse of Sheriff Buck Sweet (Ward_Bond). While riding they come across a woman (Mildred_Natwick) left in a covered wagon about to give birth. With the help of the trio she gives birth and makes them promise to take care of her child before dying.
