A project founded in January 2006 hoping to address the lack of information about individuals and events commonly associated with modern terrorism.
While we have to date limited ourselves to acts of violence against civilians by organized, non-state actors for political gain, users are encouraged to add their own new focus. It is going to be impossible to fully separate "terrorism" from "counter terrorism" from "the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan". One should use common sense in labelling an attack on the Munich Olympics as "an act of terrorism", while an attack against an Iraqi military base might be better suited to a not-yet-created or .
This page contains suggestions about articles which should be created or need additional work. It is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of several Wikipedians, and you are always welcome to join, or ask questions.
