{{ukroadsmall|15}} | euroroute= {{European route number small sign|22}} }} The '''A180''' is a Primary_route in northern England, that runs from the M180_motorway to Cleethorpes. The road is a continuation of the M180, but built to lower specifications: it is mainly dual two-lane without Hard_shoulders. The road is (mostly grade separated) Dual_carriageway for fifteen miles from the M18 to Grimsby, and is a single carriageway road for two miles between Grimsby and central Cleethorpes. The road forms part of the unsigned Euroroute E22. ==Route of Road== The A180 begins at junction 5 of the M180 in North_Lincolnshire, where it picks up traffic from the motorway and the A15_road heading towards the ports of Grimsby and Immingham. The road crosses the border into North_East_Lincolnshire and has a junction with the A160_road to Immingham Dock. It bypasses the small town of Immingham before meeting the A1173_road (linking to the A46_road to Lincoln). The road then has a junction with the A1136 road prior to having two Roundabout junctions with local roads. In central Grimsby, the A180 meets the A16_road (to Louth and Boston) at a roundabout, and continues along the front into Cleethorpes. In central Cleethopes the A180 terminates at a roundabout with the A1098_road. The A180 was opened in 1983 as an extension to the M180. The road surface was known to be especially noisy, but an improvement scheme in 2005 led to the resurfacing of much of the road to reduce the noise. ==External links== *Pathetic Motorways - M180 and A180 {{UK primary routes 1}} 1-0180 1-0180
