'''Isbister's Settlement''' is the name by which the Canadian city of Prince_Albert,_Saskatchewan was originally known in the mid 1860s. James_Isbister began farming on the site in 1862, and was followed by a number of Anglo-Metis families. In 1866 the Rev._James_Nisbet established a mission among the Cree at the point and named it Prince_Albert in honour of Queen Victoria's consort. The name stuck to the community and Isbister's Settlement was no more.
