4Kids TV (formerly FoxBox) is a Saturday morning television programming block on the Fox network. In January 2002, 4Kids Entertainment entered into a four-year agreement (which FOX could also extend if they wish) with FOX to lease the network's Saturday morning programming block. The block serves as one of the main outlets in the United States for 4Kids properties.
4Kids Entertainment introduced the FoxBox on September 7, 2002 after Fox Kids was cancelled following the purchase of Fox Family Worldwide by Disney. The block was re-branded 4Kids TV in January 2005. 4Kids Entertainment is wholly responsible for the content of the block and collects all advertising revenues from it.
The block airs on Saturday mornings in most areas of the United States, though some stations carry it on Sundays.

Relationship with FOX and broadcast ambiguities
The block has a somewhat unusual relationship to the Fox Network. The programming is produced for Fox and offered to Fox affiliates first, so the Fox affiliate in any given area has right of first refusal. In the event a Fox affiliate or in some cases an O & O opts not to carry 4Kids TV the block then is available in the market for another television station to pick up. This has happened in quite a few instances. Because of this mix up, the few times when a promo for 4Kids TV is aired on the national FOX feed, it appears that the block appears on that FOX affiliate even when it is not aired on that respected station. Also, on video on demand promos the announcer states "Catch 4Kids TV Saturday mornings on FOX!" even if 4Kids is not aired on the local FOX station. Because 4Kids TV is mixed up in a lot of areas the website itself set up a station locator to assist the viewer in finding his or her local station.
In some markets the Fox affiliate/owned and operated station has opted not to run 4Kids TV. 4Kids TV does not meet the criteria to be considered educational and does not count toward the 3 hour per week mandatory educational children's programming quotas, except for The Adrenaline Project (and previously Winx Club, Magical DoReMi, Back to the Future: the Animated Series, Stargate Infinity, and Cubix).
In markets where the Fox station does not run 4Kids TV, another station in the market can pick it up. Most stations that passed on 4Kids TV were formerly owned by New World Communications, when those stations became Fox affiliates, they were not interested in what was then called Fox Kids:

- Austin, TX - KTBC FOX Affiliate
- Birmingham, AL - WBRC FOX Affiliate
- Greensboro, NC - WGHP FOX Affiliate

New World stations and 4Kids TV
Dating back to the Fox Kids days, the stations that Fox acquired from New World Communications in 1996 generally do not air 4Kids TV. In some of the New World markets, 4Kids is not aired on any station. In a majority of these markets, an independent station carries this block: in others, the MyNetworkTV affiliate carries it: in still others, the CW affiliate carries it. The exception is St. Louis, Missouri, where KTVI carries 4Kids TV (2 hours early, beginning at 5:00).
KTVK and KASW

KASW then signed on in September 1995 on channel 61. It was originally owned by the Brooks family and immediately secured a local marketing agreement with MAC America Communications, then owner of KTVK. KTVK bought the entire broadcast day on the station to run shows that did not fit into KTVK's schedule. The WB affiliation also went from KTVK to KASW. The station ran syndicated cartoons, Kids' WB! cartoons, first-run shows from The WB Television Network, classic sitcoms, recent sitcoms, old movies, and eventually Fox Kids by the end of 1996.
Main article: KTVK
KNXV officially became Phoenix's ABC affiliate in January 1995, and KTVK nominally became the market's WB affiliate. However, it only showed WB programming on Saturday nights, so it was essentially an independent station. It also ran Fox Kids in the early afternoons and weekend mornings for about a year. The station aired Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy!, Star Trek: The Next Generation, and several off-network sitcoms during prime time.
KTVK owned a huge programming inventory, but lacked enough time in its broadcast day to air it all even after dropping ABC. As such, when the Brooks family launched a new station, KASW, in September, KTVK immediately entered into a local marketing agreement with the new station. KASW became a WB affiliate, and KTVK bought the new station's entire broadcast day. KTVK then reinstated Saturday morning newscasts.
Ironically, since 2001 Fox owned both KSAZ Fox 10 and KUTP My 45 (then UPN 45). It was thought that 4Kids TV would move to Channel 45 but Fox still passed on it even for their second station in that market. It therefore remained on KASW.
Markets where 4Kids TV runs on a current independent station
- Kansas City, MO - WDAF-TV FOX Affiliate, KMCI Independent (38 The Spot) (airs 4Kids TV on Saturdays at 8am)
- Milwaukee, WI - WITI FOX Affiliate, WMLW-CA Independent (airs 4Kids TV on Sundays at 8am )
- Tampa, FL - WTVT FOX Affiliate, WMOR-TV Independent (More TV 32) (airs 4Kids TV on Sundays at 8am)
New 4Kids block on The CW
On October 2, 2007, The CW Television Network announced that it was ending the Kids' WB block due to the effects of children's advertising limits and cable competition, as of September 2008, in a joint decision between Warner Bros. and CBS, parent companies of The CW. At that time, the programming time will be sold to 4Kids Entertainment. With this deal, in the 2008-2009 season, 4Kids will run two different Saturday morning blocks; their current 4KidsTV block on Fox (a programming agreement which currently runs until 2009), and The CW's children's programming block, to be named later.
