- Evidence
La poet is a single-issue editor and has a very short history of edits yet seems to have an experienced use of Wikipedia - knowledge of formatting, rules, dispute procedures. This is a possible good hand/bad hand account as it appears that La poet appeared in the article suddenly as Ooinn found himself in an edit dispute on Alexander Litvinenko with Biophys. It's also likely that Ooinnis trying to use La poet as a sockpuppet to form a favorable consensus on the talk page.
- Comments
I think you will need a checkuser. Note that both accounts are very old. La poet made an edit on 14 May 2007, and Ooinn first edited in 2006. By what seems like more than coincidence, they both made several edits to the same talk page within about sixteen hours of each other. Without reading the talk page (which I'm too tired to do), I can't imagine why the same person would do that, and furthermore, why he would set up a second account back in May just for this purpose. It doesn't make sense to me. If you can explain why sockpuppetry might be occurring, and how it harms the integrity of the project, then you should make a request for checkuser under code G (because the other code letters do not seem to apply). - Conclusions
- I don't see any conclusive evidence of sockpuppetry here, and I agree with Shalom: if you think it's necessary to pursue this further, you need to request a Checkuser. --Akhilleus (talk) 05:07, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
