Four-edit account. Two of his/her edits promote the website commandosupremo.com which is run or substantially contributed to by AnnalesSchool (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)} as explained in this ANI report.
- Substantial overlap in areas of interest with master
- The other two edits concern war topics which are also part of AnnalesSchool's area of interest of which Greco-Italian War and Mediterranean and Middle East theatre of World War II were edited by AnnalesSchool. All in all three out of the four edits of the sock coincide with articles edited by the master. The fourth article Operation Agreement was edited by a close associate of the master disruptive blocked sock 100menonmars. More evidence of master interaction with 100menonmars.
- Last edit of sock links to Annales's article on supremo site
- The last edit of the sock on 16 August 2014 is a link to the article Anglo-American bias and the Italo-Greek War of 1940-1941 JULY 14, 2014 BY ANNALES created on 14 July 2014, approx. a month before, by AnnalesSchool. Looks like a duck to me. Δρ.Κ. λόγοςπράξις 17:25, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

- Comment While I cannot say if these two accounts are one and the same person, I can highliht that Annales does not run the website. He is relatively new fourmite. His posts include questions and response to the site' admin, who treated as a new member of the fourm. However, he has posted practically everyone of the recent front page "essays" and was linking to the front page in numerous wiki articles, clearly in breech of guidelines and brought up on the milhist talk page.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1015:b11d:4cb5:2b11:b970:fb83:3ce6 (talk) 17:59, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

Typical MO of master. Obsession with tag-bombing sourced statements on Greco-Italian War and pushing pro-Italian POV. Δρ.Κ. λόγοςπράξις 19:37, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
- Evidence
- Common behavioural locus
- Both master and sock are targetting reliably sourced statements in Greco-Italian War as POV and editorialising.
- IP tagbombing Greco-Italian War vs. master AnnalesSchool doing the same.
- Hijacking talkpage with complaints about alleged anti-Italian POV
- IP complaining about anti-Italian bias vs. master Annales doing the same
- Pure vandalism and attacks on Greek editors
- IP blanking a whole section, with a misleading edit-summary, while at the same time inserting a message about "Greek bias" in the article:
DON'T BELIEVE THIS ARTICLE!!!! IT'S FULL OF GREEK BIAS AND UNBALANCED!!!
- IP attacking Greek editors in edit-summary:
Well, if the Greek editors appear to get away with a lot of POV editorialising, why can't the rest of us?? Fair is fair.
- IP talking in plural and implying it represents a group
- "'We" Enigma are far more numerous than you think."
- IP calling itself the "Master"
- Admitting to socking
- Conclusion
- The WP:BATTLE tactics of the IP indicate this is an editor with an agenda and a grudge. The behavioural similarities to the master make this a clear WP:DUCK case. Now that s/he has confessed to socking the case is closed.
- @Vanjagenije: I disagree that the points you mentioned are not evidence given Annales's past pronouncements and threats that s/he will create many socks:
The problems of sockpuppery, vandalism, having to protect pages, and a whole raft of other problems will continue.
. Talking in plural is a strong indicator of meatpuppetry and/or socking. Similarly calling oneself the "Master" soon after being asked if s/he is "AnnalesSchool" is rather telling especially when considering the rest of the evidence. Δρ.Κ. λόγοςπράξις 22:03, 3 June 2015 (UTC)

Yet another IP sock. All the hallmarks of the master are there.

- Warning about "Greek revanchism" and talking about "Greek schoolchildren"
- "...Greek revanchism and nationalist jingoism...", "Greek school children are taught that the war was an heroic effort equal to none."

- "We only ask for fairness and balance in the article. That's all we ask. Constantine, be fair to the Italians and try to contain your Greek patriotism. If not, the problems and issues will continue for a long time." Please also note the plural "we", another hallmark of the sockfarm.
- Another warning about "issues"
- "Keith, we only ask that you do your job properly. That's all we ask. Otherwise this issue will simply not be resolved." Please note the plural "we".
- Warning that "Greeks must be watched closely" and talking about "the Greek faction"
- "...The Greek faction are already pretty upset by having to over-haul this article and you have rightly caught them out on such matters as ownership and NPOV and language. We know the Greeks only too well and know how they operate, so they have to be watched carefully and diligently. Good luck!"

Extreme censorship on the part of Dr. K is evedent in almost all of his edotorials it is time to present both sides and not leave out positive facts about the Italian involvcement in ww2, otherwise what is the point of having a wikipedia?

Soon after semiprotection expired at Greco-Italian War (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) IP socks of the master start the incessant edit-warring adding POV-material to the article with particular obsession to highlight the Greek surrender in the worst possible light, a characteristic trait of the master.
- Threats of long-term disruption
Another characteristic of the master is the PAs interspersed with threats of longterm disruption. Please see master's comment on the his/her talkpage: There is a general malaise in some of the articles dealing with Italy's war time involvement that are very unfair and ungracious and derogatory. In the end Wikipedia itself will suffer a bad reputation for this. But the battle for fairness and justice for the Italians will continue and will go on regardless.I can guarantee one thing though: there will be no rest for the likes of Dr K and Co.

I can only claim I am not AnnalesSchool!!! I cannot prove otherwise. It is up to you to PROVE I am a sock block evader. How can I go about to prove my innocence? The parapharsed reference from Owen Pearson (History of Albania: Vol 2) that
Exhausted and worn down by incessant Italian attacks and out-flanked by the Germans, Lieutenant - General George Tsolakoglou had little choice but to surrender to General Carlo Geloso commanding the Italian Eleventh Army, on April 22nd, 1941. A day later, an armistice was signed between the German, Italian and Greek commanders in Salonika.
is an innocuous, matter of fact statement. The Greek army in Albania did in fact surrender to the Italian General, Geloso on the 22nd April. This isn't my opinion, it is a fact. And facts, as they say, are facts. Not much you can do about it I'm afraid. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.40.172.13 (talk) 22:09, 23 November 2016 (UTC)
As I said, there will be no peace with this article until sanity and reason prevails and a clear and unequivocal statement is inserted that in fact, the historical evidence is that the Greeks surrendered to the Italian forces on April 22 and that an armistice was signed the next day to that effect. The Greeks were unable to defeat the Italians and exhausted, were on the verge of collapse. There is simply no point trying to pretend and deceive the reader that it was some great "Greek victory" when later scholarship has shown that the Italian army by January had recovered and were pressing the Greeks hard on the Albanian front. The German invasion contributed to the Greek collapse, but the Italians were instrumental in it. The Germans has an easy time of slicing through northern Greece because a) most of the effective Greek forces were trying to keep the Italians out of Greece and b) the British showed a surprising amount of timidity in actually fighting the Germans, preferring to retreat rather than to stand and fight.
The Greeks did indeed surrender to the Italians (no propaganda stunt at all), and if they did not, the Italians would have massacred the entire country. Hitler and Mussolini were in total agreement with the surrender terms and absolutely no favors or considerations were given to the Greeks, whose moral was crumbling with many desertions. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.40.172.66 (talk) 20:16, 25 November 2016 (UTC)

Blocked and tagged The behaviour of these accounts is identical to that of AnnalesSchool, and there's no reason to think that it's someone else. As some feedback on this SPI report, I don't think that highlighting similarities in the use of fairly common phrases is helpful for proving a connection - especially for long-running cases such as this where the connection is pretty obvious. It's better to limit reports to similarities in behaviour, such as views being pushed and how this is being done, and stick to a "less is more" approach so that reviewing admins don't need to evaluate unnecessary evidence. If there's some unusual phrasing/grammar the editor regularly uses across accounts that can be helpful, but it's probably best to not post this on-Wiki to avoid tipping the editor off. They say so in the single edit. Please make a broad rangeblock; I suspect this is going to be ongoing harassment for some time. Chris Troutman (talk) 20:50, 15 November 2017 (UTC)

- Range blocked . He is using a Finnish webhost, and he has a history of hopping around like this - so it's going to be whack-a-mole for a while. GABgab 16:25, 16 November 2017 (UTC)

This account was changing an article to insert material more favourable to World War II-era Italy in the same way that AnnalesSchool and previous socks did. After being blocked, they repeatedly threatened to use multiple socks to continue this at User talk:Patton976, and were re-blocked accordingly. I have tagged the account as likely being AnnalesSchool. As they are indeffed, no further action is necessary, and I am logging this only for the record, especially given the threat to sock. Looks like a duck to me of a sockmaster I'm familiar with from military history articles. Already indeffed. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 02:07, 30 June 2019 (UTC)
