The result of the discussion was Procedural close - You want WP:AFD for the Article itself, not MFD for its talk page. Achowat (talk) 20:31, 28 December 2013 (UTC) (non-admin closure)

Search for sources on this individual turns up plenty of hits, but I was not able to find enough coverage in reliable third party sources to warrant a stand alone Wikipedia article. He has published several books, but this by itself does not make him (or anyone) notable, of course. The article as it stands fails to show evidence of his notability, and I was not able to find sufficient evidence of it in multiple reliable published sources. The first four Internet search hits I got were from his personal web site (2), his Facebook page (1), and this very article (1), which didn't exactly bolster the notability claim (I see a tail wagging a dog). While it is clear that he has a following of fans of his books, this does not make him de facto notable and I could not find other material to support the claim. I therefore propose that the article be deleted pending the publication of evidence to the contrary. KDS4444Talk 09:13, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
- Keep. You cannot nominate a talk page for deletion if the article itself is being kept. Binksternet (talk) 15:48, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
- Strong Keep. This article has been nominated before, and it was overwhelmingly supported to keep. Please review the reasons. This is an extremely notable subject. as it says in the article, he is "the author of over forty books on subjects ranging from shamanism and western magical traditions to art, music, and anthropology. His books have been published in fifteen languages." Rosencomet (talk) 16:14, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
- Why IS this proposal associated with the talk page rather than the article? Why is nothing about it posted on the actual article? Rosencomet (talk) 16:48, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
- A Google Book search shows at least dozens (perhaps more) of examples of books and articles quoting or referring to the works of Nevill Drury. Rosencomet (talk) 17:46, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
