A featured deletion discussion has the following attributes:
- It exemplifies us at our most passionate and witty, whether we say things we regret later or not.
- It is well argued, comprehensive, completely reckless, utterly partisan, and conducted by unstable people.
- (a) "well argued" means that the personal attacks are utterly withering and merciless;
- (b) "comprehensive" means that as many editors as possible get in on the action;
- (c) "completely reckless" means complete disregard for any of the usual Wikipedia standards of behavior;
- (d) "utterly partisan" means that everybody involved has an agenda and could care less about NPOV; and
- (e) "unstable" participants engage in rampant sock- and meatpuppetry, preface their votes with Do not Delete, and complain about censorship.
- It results in at least the article, category, template or whatever getting deleted; with possible blocks of users involved as well.
