non-notable book - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 20:16, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- On the fence here. The book doesn't get a lot of returns for searches, but then it was published in 1987, and it's unlikely there would be a lot of reviews available online for it. But... it hit the New York Times bestseller list for paperbacks at #13[1] and was on the list for several weeks[2] at least. It's not exactly easy to get on the NYT best-seller list, so sales must have been quite strong. Weak keep based on that, with hopes that someone would be able to turn up more than I. - Keep It appears to have made enough of a splash to be considered notable, considering the treatment in received in press as shown by Zagalejo. Xymmax (talk) 22:36, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep seems fair. What about the author though? Worthy of a bio? Shiva Evolved (talk) 22:48, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- KeepThe author wrote another piece of submarine-themed fiction called "Typhoon" in 1991. This work and the author are mentioned in the "Typhoon submarine" entry. --Fornobject (talk) 22:17, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
