- Disagree. The article in its current form has never been deleted. A previous article about the subject was deleted many years ago. I thought I had provided enough sources to show notability, but I can add more if this would help. Maps Imaginary (talk) 15:23, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
- Hello @Maps Imaginary, the curation info pane shows that the article had previously been deleted. But neverthelessless, this version of the article does not seem to meet our notability criteria for a notable author. The community will decide if I'm wrong about this, and I'm not opposed to withdrawing the nom if I have made a mistake. However, to my mind the article sourcing is weak, not sure if Encyclopedia.com is considered a reliable source (there has been discussion on RSP talk); the Tsetsi citation is an interview on a blog; the KRQE citation looks ok; the Abq Journal piece seems more like a human interest piece about he and his wife's bookstore; HomeFront is his own self-published blog. I'm not finding any reviews of his work as an author, or notable awards, he doesn't seem to meet any of the criteria for notable author WP:NAUTHOR; and I don't think the KRQE and Abq Journal pieces are enough to meet WP:GNG, or notable business person WP:NBUSINESSPERSON or notable academic WP:NPROF. - Thank you for clarifying, @Netherzone. I see that in attempting to use the most comprehensive sources for my citations I failed to consider the reliable source criteria. I thought the personal blog should be an okay source for the bibliography as indicated in WP:SELFSOURCE, but I see your point about the blog interview. I do have sources for reviews of his work, as well as other articles about the bookstore. If you don't mind, could you tell me if these references are more likely to meet WP:GNG? - Reply - Maps Imaginary, thank you for taking the time to look for additional sources, I didn't see these when I did a BEFORE search, although I found a lot on the politician with the same name. The Kirkus Reviews and Publisher's Weekly are good finds, as are the ABQ Journal articles. It is now clear that he meets WP:GNG and WP:NAUTHOR. I am withdrawing the nomination. Great research work!
