- Paul Eibeler (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) (delete) – (View log)
This individual appears to have been a controversial CEO and was ultimately deposed. In its original form this article was unreferenced and entirely glossed over the controversies, suggesting a WP:POV. As it was unreferenced I reduced it to a stub but it returned as a partially referenced, lopsided (extremely favourable and apologist), opinion piece, in contravention of WP:OR, WP:POV, WP:BLP and WP:SYN amongst others. Clearly, if retained, a more balanced piece is needed.
However, as the subject is known only as CEO of a company WP:BIO1E would suggest there is insufficient notability for an independent article. Clean-up of the article should therefore be achieved by deletion or redirect to Take-Two Interactive.
An anonymous editor has twice reverted attempts to merge or redirect, without giving any rationale. I am bringing this article here to establish whether there is consensus to delete. I42 (talk) 18:46, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep. The current text just sucks. But the guy has about 500 Google News hits, he was the president and COO of another major software company (Acclaim), and he hit the news again today, surfacing at yet another software company. He seems to have been an important, controversial guy in the business side of the software/gaming industty, and is likely worth an article. And I don't buy the BIO1E argument; Kim Jong Il, after all, has been the lunatic dictator of just one small country, and he gets an article. - Being a country's head of state for fifteen years is not "a role in a single event"! However, I do agree that the provided coverage for Eibeler goes beyond a single event. Between the Market Watch article (of which he is the subject) and the other sources, I think this just covers the general notability guideline. Marasmusine (talk) 13:50, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep Hullaballoo is completely right. Article protection perhaps, not deletion, is needed here, to control POV. Power.corrupts (talk) 10:57, 5 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep – per above. Also, cleaning up the article can also help cut down some of the vandalism, if that is the problem. MuZemike 19:40, 7 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
