- Keep per nom's search for sources. The sources shown in Paranormal Skeptic (talk · contribs)'s Google News search confirms the notability of this French artist. Having non-English sources is not a valid reason for deletion.
Two reliable sources in the Google News search that I am referring to are this from L'Express (Google translation here) and this from Magazine Fragil (Google translation here).Cunard (talk) 21:43, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep per nom and Cunard. Any artist with a monograph by Paul Ardenne is notable.[3] Please withdraw the nom to allow speedy keep and saving using up any more time. English sources are preferred, but not obligatory: see WP:NONENG. Ty 12:47, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- I would, but I can't tell if the hits from google are even talking about the same person. Also, the article states he has done several things in the States, but no news mentions of said events are made. I am unable to determine from the information searchable if notability is in fact determined, and would welcome an expert to the subject (I am not). - Both Google translation links I cited above are clearly about this individual. The Wikipedia article says that he is "a French multimedia artist". The two translation links I cited are both about Patrick Mimran's art interests, such as his art purchases and his book about art. Cunard (talk) 21:19, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Comment. Am I missing something here? All of the discussion above, including the searches, seems to be about Paul Ardenne, not Patrick Mimran. The sources linked by Cunard don't even mention Mimran. This Google News search seems to show likely notability, but I'd like to understand exactly who we are talking about. - The searches I did were done by using the nom's original search for sources in the nomination statement. I've struck out the sources I've cited and agree with you that Patrick Mimran is notable. This Google Books search also returns a number of results about the artist Patrick Mimran. Cunard (talk) 22:21, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
