Fails WP:LISTN. No indication that this arbitrary categorization of persons is covered, as a group, in any reliable sources. Sandstein 09:36, 18 March 2018 (UTC)

- delete as indiscriminate trivia. The immense size of the list shows that this is too common to be remarkable. I also note that a lot of these are pen names rather than stage names. Mangoe (talk) 13:31, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
- Questions/Comments - Consider me "undecided" for the time being. Note that this article dates way back to 2003, making it almost as old as Wikipedia itself, and it may have originated as a group information-collection project that fit the culture of WP at the time. Since then it has become humongous and unwieldy. Is there a WP policy that addresses the viability of a list article over many years? I can't quite find one at Wikipedia:Stand-alone lists that fits. Also note that in this list's history, it seems to have users who maintain it regularly but then move on to be replaced by someone else (most recently User talk:Rms125a@hotmail.com), indicating that some parts of the WP community find the article important enough for a lot of work. I know that "important" is not "notable" but that may have an impact on the AfD process as well. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (Talk|Contribs) 14:23, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
- Comment - also undecided. We do have list of stage names (speaking of humongous and unwieldy), which is inclusive of this subject. We also have list of legally mononymous people, which also has substantial overlap. The list of stage names should be broken up, but why is the number of names they have a good way to do so, as opposed to genre, alphabetically, etc.? — Rhododendrites talk \\ 21:49, 23 March 2018 (UTC)
- Comment. It does look like something that should be deleted, however there are 2700 edits by 1000 different users since 2003, I find it hard to think all of those editors missed this as a delete? Szzuk (talk) 20:10, 25 March 2018 (UTC)
- Keep a perfectly reasonable WP:SAL/index. A bit unwieldy, it might be reasonable to split the article. power~enwiki (π, ν) 02:33, 26 March 2018 (UTC)

- Is this useful for outside users or just for maintenance of the encyclopedia? In the latter case, could it be moved to project space? Matchups 17:10, 27 March 2018 (UTC)
- KEEP, OF COURSE: This article, which I did not create but am certainly grateful for, keeps the List of stage names only moderately overcrowded. The work required to restore all the one-word names to the larger list (List of stage names) will/would be, if not unimaginable, then overwhelming. There is no reason of any import or moment to delete this necessary list based on the reasons above. Quis separabit? 22:06, 27 March 2018 (UTC)
- If you think the main article would be too crowded, then I'd recommend that this be merged into List of stage names and then that article be split into alphabetical categories as we do for other huge lists (for example, Lists of colors). This subdivision is undoubtedly trivial and indiscriminate. LaundryPizza03 (talk) 03:58, 28 March 2018 (UTC)
- @LaundryPizza03 -- Who will merge the contents of this list back into the List of stage names, where they originated? And how is a list of this size "trivial" or "indiscriminate" given that it is meant to refer only to "those in the entertainment industry", as with the larger list into which you suggest a merger? I agree that a division such as that in Lists of colors appears to be a viable remedy but I am not an expert in logistics. Quis separabit? 04:10, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
- Keep for search engine indexing, most people use popular one name keyords. How many of us know Cleopatra's or Bono's full name? :-)
