I am a bit on the fence about this person's notability as it pertains to Wikipedia's guidelines. It seems he is best notable for his controversial firing but even then, I am not seeing in-depth sources on him. His Google Scholar score is very low and I don't think he passes WP:NPROF or WP:GNG. I am absolutely willing to pull this AfD if sources do show up and it is clear the article can be improved, but I am currently not seeing anything that would indicate this is possible. - Delete: The firing does seem to be the only thing for which he has received independent coverage, and even then (according to my searching) it appears to have been quite little. --AntiDionysius (talk) 15:43, 7 February 2024 (UTC)
- Delete: I agree that subject does not appear to meet WP:NPROF; was at the associate professor level, which often is WP:TOOSOON (not always, but often). With respect to WP:GNG, it seems to me that this controversy (see here: https://www.latribune.ca/2022/09/26/bishops--le-racisme-systemique-a-lorigine-de-son-renvoi-clame-un-professeur-764c7d8d70a478e75221b9eff5a1645d/?utm_campaign=latribune&utm_medium=article_share) should be covered in the Bishop's University article, perhaps in a section entitled "Controversies" or something. Currently neither article has no coverage on that controversy - looks like there was coverage here at one point, but it has been deleted by other editors. Qflib (talk) 16:35, 7 February 2024 (UTC)
- Delete: he was a tenured professor, but doesn't seem to pass ACADEMIC [1] , that called out the University and was dismissed. Even that didn't get much national attention, I could only find a few French articles in the local paper and one in La Presse about it... I don't think getting fired is notable. - Delete. A few good cites for his books, but not enough yet for WP:Prof. Otherwise WP:BLP1E. Xxanthippe (talk) 21:32, 7 February 2024 (UTC).
