This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Technology. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
- Adding a new AfD discussion
- Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
- and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
- You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Technology|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
- Note that there are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
- Removing a closed AfD discussion
- Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
- Other types of discussions
- You can also add and remove links to other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Technology.
- Further information
- For further information see Wikipedia's deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.

@Oaktree b the articles below list helpful information to users about the product. This is not a promotion as this just lists information about the company, how it was founded, and how this will enhance the sport that people cherish. This should not merit a deletion. There are other articles as sources that can be added that prove and list this as well.Kompyoub (talk) 08:06, 29 May 2024 (UTC)

Oaktree b I agree with @Kompyoub where the article does have reliable sources that show history and information on the product. This is not anything to do with anything promotional. I am happy to help answer anything but this article should stay.Nrochluz (talk) 12:25, 29 May 2024 (UTC)

- Keep. The article is written pretty badly but the large number of sources are in fact good. There are a whole lot of studies but it seems like there would almost definitely be at least 3 in there specifically mentioning microlectures which are also reliable and secondary.
- e.g.
- 1. https://statenews.com/article/2009/03/microlectures_turn_lessons_into_interactive_snippets
- 2. https://campustechnology.com/articles/2010/11/10/teaching-in-one-minute-snippets.aspx
- 3. (off google not the thing, accepts submissions from non-journalists) https://www.facultyfocus.com/articles/online-education/online-course-delivery-and-instruction/microlectures-101-what-why-how/
- 4. (from the thing) short mention in fox news
- So the article has a clear topic, at least 2 reliable secondary sources, and a number of journal articles (plus many, many unreliable blogs). I think there's not really a good case to delete here, the article is just bad and basically needs to be started from scratch without all the blogs. Mrfoogles (talk) 07:40, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
- That said it might be a fad and not be the sustained coverage policy, but I'd say keep it. Mrfoogles (talk) 07:41, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
- Is there a different word for "lectures on TikTok"? I would not be too surprised if there is more coverage of the general concept under a different name.
I'm not entirely convinced yet, but the links at [1] (which links to your link 3) suggest this might be "keep but re-write". Walsh90210 (talk) 15:15, 27 May 2024 (UTC)

- Delete. This company was a contestant on Shark Tank India and this is what most sources cover on the page and this does not make an organization notable merely because a notable event was associated with it. A corporation is not notable merely because it owns or generates notable subsidiaries. The organization needs to be discussed in reliable independent sources to be considered notable. Very new/small start-up business that fails WP:NORG and WP:SIGCOV. The coverage of this small company (of perhaps 12 employees?) is the type of "startup receives seed funding" business reporting that is common for any similar business. What limited coverage does exist relates to the company's previous brand name - to the extent that the only source (connecting the title of the article with the entity discussed in the article) is the org's own LinkedIn page. If we do not have sufficient reliable/independent sources to even establish that a company of this name exists (and is the same company covered in the other few sources), then SIGCOV is not met. Clearly WP:TOOSOON. (Would have PRODed, but the creator of the article moved it to the main article namespace [over DRAFT]. And re-added [at best] quasi-promotional text about the org being "award-winning". Therefore not "uncontroversial".) Guliolopez (talk) 20:53, 23 May 2024 (UTC)

Notability and quality issues. The article was created by a single-purpose account in 2009. None of the content is sourced, the "general" references are generally about "assistive technology" or are by MJ Scherer, the creator of this model. Google Scholar has about 3 results not associated with Scherer, which use this as background.
None of the current content should be merged to assistive technology, so I have not unilaterally redirected the article. However, if there is sourced content to include there, I am not opposed to that redirect. Walsh90210 (talk) 22:12, 23 May 2024 (UTC)

"Instagram Face" is something very abstract and unverifiable, ie. two reliable sources may define it differently. It may also be inherently derogatory, as it is based on negative opinions about women's appearances. With Love from Cassie Schebel (talk) 01:17, 21 May 2024 (UTC)

- Delete This is a company therefore GNG/WP:NCORP requires at least two deep or significant sources with each source containing "Independent Content" showing in-depth information *on the company*. "Independent content", in order to count towards establishing notability, must include original and independent opinion, analysis, investigation, and fact checking that are clearly attributable to a source unaffiliated to the subject. The references are a collection of PR announcements and company soundbites. I'm unable to identify any references that meet the criteria for establishing notability. Non-notable precursor of The Open Source Definition. I was barely able to scrape up enough independent analysis to create a viable article about the OSD and the related Open Definition. There is much less available on the Debian definition.
The last AfD was in 2007 and notability was not considered.
Furthermore, I cannot support this article's existence per WP:NOPAGE because the Debian definition, slightly modified, was adopted as the OSD and the texts are very similar[6][7]. (t · c) buidhe 22:19, 17 May 2024 (UTC)

Keep The previous version was deleted in 2020. This is quite a different from previous. I can see here significant coverage in multiple reliable secondary sources. And a listed company at National Stock Exchange and Bombay Stock Exchange. MeltPees (talk) 17:09, 14 May 2024 (UTC)- Delete. Some sources are reliable but still do not help with notability, lack of significant coverage in multiple reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject. Fails WP:ORGCRIT. Wikipedia is not a business directory. RangersRus (talk) 13:59, 16 May 2024 (UTC)
