Script conflicting with User:Terasail/HeaderIcons
Somewhat unsuprisingly, he:mediawiki:סקריפטים/88.js conflicts with your script (see File:en.wikipedia.org User talk-Terasail 2023-03-06.png for what that script does). I presume they need to load in a certain order to work properly? — Qwerfjkltalk 19:07, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Qwerfjkl Good news, it has nothing to do with any script conflicts. The problem is caused by scripts such as User:Ingenuity/AntiVandal.js Which loads a link into the user dropdown, but lots of scripts you use load links with no icon so it loads multiple empty buttons... There are some solutions here, you can load custom css which would add icons to these buttons (I could help you with this if you want), you could ask the userscript devs to load icons in the menu, or I can try to think of other solutions but I don't want to disable this functionality since it is kindof the point of the script. Terasail[✉️] 21:05, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
- Update: I have updated the script so that it checks for an icon before adding it to the toolbar. If you want to show the other script buttons then you will need to add custom css for icons/get the script maintainer to do it. I also don't know how you function with that many buttons in your toolbar... If you are still having problems please let me know. Terasail[✉️] 21:36, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
- No, I'm referring to the star with the greyed-out 50 attached to it, which is what the script adds. The script sometimes doesn't load when I have your script installed (and it's not added to the sticky header). — Qwerfjkltalk 22:14, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Qwerfjkl I did another update which should stop the watchlist star from disappearing. I completely misunderstood what you meant before, just looking at the image I assumed you meant the large whitespace that was shown... Terasail[✉️] 22:58, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
- Line 34 throws the error:
Uncaught TypeError: Failed to execute 'getComputedStyle' on 'Window': parameter 1 is not of type 'Element'.— Qwerfjkltalk 19:51, 9 March 2023 (UTC)- @Qwerfjkl Sorry about that, I think I implemented it incorrectly... It didn't show any errors for me (classic programmer) but I have made a minor change which should avoid any errors here, if not I will look for a better solution. Thanks, Terasail[✉️] 02:07, 10 March 2023 (UTC)
- It looks like it still throws the error. This might be due to a script conflict (I have quite a few). — Qwerfjkltalk 07:05, 10 March 2023 (UTC)
- Yeah I can look into it further. I have tried just importing your commonjs and get 3/4 erors but mine doesn't error... I will look into it futher now that it isn't 2am... Terasail[✉️] 08:56, 10 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Qwerfjkl I have given it another go. I can't figure out what is happening with your js and where the conflict is. I hope this fixes your problems becuase I am stumped. Terasail[✉️] 09:15, 10 March 2023 (UTC)

- Following an RfC, editors indefinitely site-banned by community consensus will now have all rights, including sysop, removed.
- As a part of the Wikimedia Foundation's IP Masking project, a new policy has been created that governs the access to temporary account IP addresses. An associated FAQ has been created and individual communities can increase the requirements to view temporary account IP addresses.
- Bot operators and tool maintainers should schedule time in the coming months to test and update their tools for the effects of IP masking. IP masking will not be deployed to any content wiki until at least October 2023 and is unlikely to be deployed to the English Wikipedia until some time in 2024.
- The arbitration case World War II and the history of Jews in Poland has been closed. The topic area of Polish history during World War II (1933-1945) and the history of Jews in Poland is subject to a "reliable source consensus-required" contentious topic restriction.
- Following a community referendum, the arbitration policy has been modified to remove the ability for users to appeal remedies to Jimbo Wales.
