AutoWikiBrowser Settings
Hi I want to use Wikipedia:AutoWikiBrowser/Settings/ISSN with AutoWikiBrowser where should I set it? or where can i use it?Yamaha5 (talk) 09:43, 11 June 2016 (UTC)
- You would put it a sub-directory of AWB and use "load settings". However this settings file is ten years old, and as the notes say here, obsolete due to changes in AWB.
- All the best: Rich Farmbrough, 10:46, 11 June 2016 (UTC).
- Thank you for your answer. unfortunately new setting doesn't support

Hi. Just a reminder that in just over a week at Wikimania there's going to be a cross-Wiki discussion about the systems of control of new pages. This is a round-table rather than a presentation or a lecture. On the agenda are reforms to the new article reviewing systems and ways to help new users better understand our content policies. If you are going to Italy and would like to take part, please check out the conference schedule, and I look forward to seeing you there. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 18:51, 14 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi Rich,
I have just written my first article for wiki and would appreciate some feedback from someone experienced, before I get it live!
Would you be able to have a look at it for me? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Arden_University
Best wishes,

- Thanks for the header, Pdebee. I have tidied the article somewhat. All the best: Rich Farmbrough, 18:06, 6 August 2016 (UTC).
Dump scan
Hi! Maybe I could ask a favor to you? As you had that script for counting word frequency this probably shouldn't take too much time. The basic idea: I want to order templates by number of parser functions, that they use. So basically the script should loop trough all templates (in dump file) and for each template count number of these (have to make text lowercased, because of "#IF:" etc.): "#expr:", "#if:", "#ifeq:", "#iferror:", "#ifexpr:", "#ifexist:", "#rel2abs:", "#switch:", "#time:", "#timel:", "#titleparts:", and then group by parser function name. If script could skip {{#invoke:, then it would be great. The result would be something like
Template {{#if 123 Template {{#ifeq 12 Template2 {{#switch 3 ...
Clarification: for Latvian Wikipedia, not English Wikipedia. And one additional task (probably can be done in one run). Could you count number of "<ref" for each article? Want to know, which articles have the most refs. I know, that this won't be accurate, but still - it would be interesting to see results. --Edgars2007 (talk/contribs) 08:36, 18 June 2016 (UTC)
Hi Rich Farmbrough, You recently created a lot of Edits on [nasheed] Article and removed a lot of Artists and other details from there. Can you describe it's reason? I'm "Ahmed mac" and I'm a Nasheed Artist as well as an Socializor, i added my name in it few months back but when i searched for it again then i didn't find it. You can search for my name on Google for more information.
Kindly do not remove Valid information from any Article with authentic information. Best Wishes for you ....
- Hi Ahmed,
- Usually lists of artists only include those notable enough to have a Wikipedia article of their own. This is not a hard-and-fast rule, but it seems appropriate in this case. I do not find news articles or books discussing you.
- Generally self published stuff, facebook, twitter, blogs etc., does not count to establish notability.
- All the best: Rich Farmbrough, 13:37, 19 June 2016 (UTC).

Featured Picture nomination
Hi Rich,
Great working you on the SVG Media Viewer!
If I could bother you a second... I submitted my "Tiny Planet" of the Last Supper sculpture in Esino Lario for Featured Picture on the English Wikipedia. If you think it qualifies, could you please support my nomination?
Thanks in advance,
cmɢʟee⎆τaʟκ 22:53, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
- User:cmglee will do so. I will also upload my image of the artwork which does not have the paper and masking tape signs on it, Andy Mabbett also took a sign free image, if you fancy trying to merge the textures from the marble slab.
- Did you know there is also an exhibition at Milan Malpensa airport of Da Vinci's Last Supper and "Everelasting" (http://www.continiartuk.com/helidon-xhixhas-everlasting-now-installed-milan-malpensa-airport/).
- All the best: Rich Farmbrough, 12:01, 29 June 2016 (UTC).
- Thanks, Rich. I didn't notice the signs on the sculpture, but am undecided if they should be artificially removed – after all, it's a record of the scene during the event. I didn't know about the exhibition as I didn't pass through Malpensa. Nice to know anyway... cmɢʟee⎆τaʟκ 12:05, 30 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi
It was great meeting you, more so as a last minute coincidence just before we returned home after I wrote you here in the past. Also thank you for showing me the pictures and hope to come across them on articles in the future. I will also try to find time to upload mine, from both UK and the conference. Thank you again for a lovely time before the flight. :) אומנות (talk) 10:22, 29 June 2016 (UTC)
- Likewise, I was rather dreading three hours at the airport, but the five hours I eventually spent there were well spent! All the best: Rich Farmbrough, 18:24, 30 June 2016 (UTC).
Can you add Babes in the Wood murders (Wild Park) to your watchlist? It looks like there might be a trial and the article needs expanding anyway. Paul Benjamin Austin (talk) 11:32, 30 June 2016 (UTC)
- Have done so. All the best: Rich Farmbrough, 18:25, 30 June 2016 (UTC).
