You
Hello. Are you Gilead Sher? --Dweller (talk) 13:56, 7 December 2009 (UTC) Yes, I am Gilead Sher. I wanted to edit my page at Wikipedia. Why did you delete my page? Please re-upload the contents of my page. Thank you.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, Gileadsher, may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because You are editing someone's article with their username, without confirming if you are or are not that person. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may file for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account and use that for editing. Thank you. --Dweller (talk) 11:10, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
Please do not add material cut and pasted from other websites to Wikipedia. This is a copyright violation. The article has been deleted. --Dweller (talk) 12:01, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

As noted above, the page about you was deleted because it was a cut and paste from another website. That's a breach of copyright. Furthermore, as you are Gilead Sher, you must read this link before attempting to edit about yourself. --Dweller (talk) 15:28, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
- Please be advised that I did not cut nor paste from another site, I just wanted to update the page. I'm sorry if any harm was done, but it was not our intention. Now, since we need to update the page, please be kind enough to upload the contents of Gilead Sher's page. Thank you.
- You still haven't read this link. --Dweller (talk) 14:25, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
Dear Mr. Dweller, I have read the contents of the foregoing link. Our intention was mererly to update the contents of Gilead Sher's page and to upload a new digital photo of Gilead Sher, we did not have a conflict of interest of any kind whatsoever. Please advide how his page can be re-uploaded once more. Thank you.
I'm also puzzled why you say "we" and "our" and why you refer to Sher as "him", when you have already said that you are Gilead Sher. --Dweller (talk) 10:38, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
I think you are graven aly mistaken! Gilead Sher's page was already published here on Wikipedia, I was only trying to edit some details that needed to be changed. I really do not understand why you are acting in such a manner. If you do not upload the page again, I would have no other choice but to file an official complaint.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Gileadsher (talk • contribs)
- You're correct, it's my mistake, you didn't create the article. However, you wish to recreate the article and that's not permitted for you, because you have a massive and unarguable conflict of interest. - When I get a moment, I'll post a new version of the page that isn't a copyright violation. When I do, kindly do not edit it, except for issues expressly permitted by the COI policy. --Dweller (talk) 21:58, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- See Gilead Sher. And please don't edit it, except for the rare circumstances COI permits you. --Dweller (talk) 10:55, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

Thank you very much for your reply. I can see that you posted a new version of Gilead Sher's page, however, a shorter one. Can you please post the former version? This version is far too poor in comparison to the previous unedited version. Please advise, thank you. (talk) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.8.70.161 (talk) 12:28, 12 January 2010 (UTC)
- The old article was deleted for being a copyright violation of another page on the internet. I therefore restored a version of the page that predated the posting of cut and pasted text. If I reposted the copyright violation, it would have to be deleted again, which would be a bit of a waste of time. --Dweller (talk) 13:13, 12 January 2010 (UTC)
According to your answer, please advise what do I have to do in order to update Gilead Sher's page? Thank you.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Gileadsher (talk • contribs)
- You can't. Except for the following types of non-controversial edits:
- Removing spam and reverting vandalism.
- Deleting content that violates Wikipedia's biography of living persons policy.
- Fixing spelling and grammar errors.
- Reverting or removing their own COI edits. Cleaning up your own mess is allowed and encouraged.
- Making edits that have been agreed to on the talk page.
- Adding citations, especially when another editor has requested them.

Thank you for the information you provided, but I have another question: you claim that even the previous page of Gilead Sher was a violation of rights (and I do not understand why. If so, why did you allow it to be published on Wikipedia the whole time? We believe there is not any violation of rights in the former page of Gilead Sher. Please advise.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Gileadsher (talk • contribs)
