NPOV policy violation
Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Shetland. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Shetland is a council area of Scotland; presenting it as an entirely separate entity, as you also did in List of Shetland islands, is inaccurate and misleading. For further clarification, please see the policy page linked above and the page about single-purpose accounts. — Greentryst TC 23:16, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
- Where's the legal document or treaty that makes Shetland a part of Scotland?.
- On the basis that there is NO legal document in existence then the status is that we are a colonial land ruled by Scotland by default.
- We are also NOT the so-called "Northern Isles". This is a false and inaccurate name that has been applied based on politics.
- If Wikipedia is to promote the truth then Shetland's true legal status needs to be included on its page. AsbjornSigurdsson (talk) 21:54, 28 April 2023 (UTC)

- Wikipedia doesn't operate off of one person's unique notions of international law, unsupported by any links to reliable sources. We operate off consensus (which you're ignoring) using verifiable information; you are not supporting anything with links to reliable sources.
- Regardless of your thoughts about Shetland's independence, people there are flying Scottish and UK flags. They carry UK passports. You are not going to convince many people that the Shetland Islands are independent.
- If you persist in this, someone will conclude that you are not here to write an encyclopaedia and block your account.

- You have a terrible attitude and are not very tolerant of other peoples' views.
- We are ruled by default by Scotland(colonialism) but that doesn't mean we are a legal part of it(the Scottish courts couldn't prove Shetland was part of Scotland and they couldn't prove that Stuart Hill wrong).
- I can assure you, you will find more Shetland flags than Scotland flags here in Shetland.
- Also, take a look at the Island Games this past week, the Shetland team are proudly flying the SHETLAND flag.
- You need to be more tolerant of other viewpoints and stop imposing your own political feelings on people rather than threatening to ban someone. AsbjornSigurdsson (talk) 17:59, 15 July 2023 (UTC)
