Hey, just to let you know I undid your edit to The Secret Garden, reign is the time a person was in office and rein are the things you use on a horse Shaws username . talk . 08:23, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Shaws username The idiom is "to have free rein" and is a metaphor based on horses' reins. It refers to an absence of constraints. There is no idiom "to have free reign". This is why I corrected "reign" to "rein". https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/free_rein 86.184.132.117 (talk) 19:34, 15 May 2024 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, you're completely right. Full instead of free just threw me it seems, thanks for helping to correct things! Shaws username . talk . 20:38, 15 May 2024 (UTC)
