You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but if you wish to acquire additional privileges, you can simply create an account. It's free, requires no personal information, and lets you:
- Create new pages and rename pages
- Edit semi-protected pages
- Upload images
- Have your own watchlist, which shows when articles you are interested in have changed
If you edit without an account, your IP address (199.168.151.172) is used to identify you instead.
We hope that you choose to become a Wikipedian and create an account. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}}
before the question on this page. We also have an intuitive guide on editing if you're interested. By the way, please make sure to sign and date your talk page comments with four tildes (~~~~).
Happy editing! I dream of horses If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. @ 18:17, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
Edit comments
Since you seem very likely to be the same person as the IP editor that I addressed the following comment to, here it is again, in case you didn't see it. I've no idea what you're up to, and I presume you mean well, but it would be really helpful if you'd explain what you're trying to do and why when you make changes, rather than just going ahead without any apparent reason. "Please don't make changes, especially reversions of edits made by regular editors, without explanation. Coming from an IP address, editors are likely to assume it's vandalism and roll your changes back. Since you seem to be a constructive editor, if you have reasons for things, state them. I notice that I'm not the first person to suggest this. Of course, you could always consider having a Wikipedia account. All the best, Chiswick Chap (talk) 11:17, 3 February 2016 (UTC)"

Hello, I'm Oshwah. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —the one you made with this edit to Same-sex marriage in Canada— because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 12:01, 7 July 2016 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you make personal attacks on other people, as you did at User talk:Oshwah. Comment on content, not on fellow editors. Linguist 111talk 12:03, 7 July 2016 (UTC)
