My work as a Wikipedian
- On Wikipedia since 2006, I have mostly worked on various Final Fantasy pages, usually those for Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 both Featured Articles () as of August 2006. . My last work was on the sprucing up of the Link (The Legend of Zelda) which was under FA Review and passed. On July 2007 I was added to the WPFF hall of fame for being a longstanding contributer to the project, having worked extensively on at least 3 FA articles of the project. Currently on wiki break
- Since 2007 I have also been part of the staff at Final Fantasy Wiki. I'm currently inactive there
- In 2007 I also founded The Annex (with Deckiller and others from Wikipedia) with the intent of saving good thorough fiction articles from Wikipedia. Still somewhat active there, as admin / founder
MediaWiki
- Wikimedia hacks and extensions I authored RSS import, blogger import/export, slideshow and some other hacks to improve Wiki usability. Newer Wiki releases have had most of those functions incorporated to the main release - not using my code since my extensions were all standalone - but still happy to see I was right and slideshow and other tools should be part of a wiki .
Other
- Final Fantasy Project- From 2006 to 2010 it was yet another FF Forum which had a fully functional Wiki (with spell checking, yay!) and tons of other goodies. Forum is currently down (2013) but a small forum for R&D on game file formats is still open.
- My Blog [1] with Wiki, FFX, SL and other musings... Mostly chronicling SL's demise lately.
- Second Life Youtube videos for the FFX sims I hosted there from 2006 to 2008. In there you could play a truly 3D Blitzball or walk through a 3D replica of Besaid, Kilika, Bikanel.... Alas SL sims cost way too much and that sim has been closed since mid 2008.
- Sin's Dawn - The old FF Wiki forum was hosted at my site. Currently closed
Current and upcoming work
Getting the Final Fantasy X page to Featured Article statusDone :-)Sprucing up Blitzball page so it gets to not so bad statusDone, alas it needs work again- Watching FF article, helping on FA and peer reviews when I can
- Being vocal against deletionists and drive by taggers. (which didn't make a lot of difference so created a wikia wiki to save articles instead: The Annex)
