I live in the UK and am a prolific user of Wikipedia, which I find a fantastic resource. Occasionally I have found gaps or areas of improvement in individual pages and have made amendments which have stood the test of time.
I am interested in authoring new articles and making more significant edits within my areas of knowledge and competence.
Areas of interest
Studied History in college, with a focus largely on early medieval Europe and the European colonization of the Americas.
Women's History
19th and early 20th century biography
I believe in putting primary sources at the centre of historical research where possible.
Wikipedia contributions and areas I'm considering working on
Completed new pages
New page on Lady Violet 'Letty' Benson, prompted when I came across her gravestone recently and realised she is named on a variety of wikipedia pages but not linked.
New page on Emma Dent, prompted by coming across memorial plaques to her and realising there was a considerable story of her life to tell.
Backlog (mostly tweaks and cleanup)
Small adjustments to medieval section of Bordeaux’s history section covering Angevin Empire (done) and cleaning up / simplifying section on Merovingian/Carolingian period (to do: see talk page)
