Request for comment review (RFCR) is a forum to appeal disputed request for comment closes. It determines whether a close was reasonable in the light of Wikipedian policies, guidelines, and normal custom and practice.
Before opening a RFCR, please consider discussing your concerns on the closer's talk page. There could have been a mistake or misunderstanding, and a full review may not be needed. Discussion on the closer's talk page is highly recommended but not mandatory, and if you find the closer unapproachable for some reason, you may appeal directly to this venue. However, you must at minimum notify the closer about this discussion, either on their talk page or by pinging them in your nomination statement.
What this process is not
RFCR should be focused on the RfC and its outcome, and not on the person who closed the discussion. RFCR is not a forum to cast aspersions or raise concerns about an editor. Nominations that include attacks on the closer may be speedily closed.
