Sequentially after transitioning, Detransitioning is the process of changing one's gender presentation and/or sex characteristics to accord with one's assigned sex.[1] Detransitioning is also termed Retransitioning.[2]
Some are detransitioning after discovering that transitioning caused more problems than it solved.[3]
Genital reconstructive surgeon, Dr Miroslav Dordevic has said that some transgenders regret having undergone the procedure and want to detransition. He says this is particularly so for transgender women over 30.[4]
