Raquel Rutledge is an award-winning reporter of Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Rutledge’s series, “Cashing In on Kids” won the Pulitzer Prize for Local Reporting[1] and Goldsmith Prize for Investigative Reporting[2] in 2010. Her work also won the Worth Bingham Prize for Investigative Reporting[3] and George Polk Awards[4] in 2009.
Raquel Rutledge is a Milwaukee native. She graduated from Shorewood High School and the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. Before joining the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in 2004, she had worked for the Waukesha Freeman and the Colorado Springs Gazette.[5]
