Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
We are currently running a study on the effects of adding additional information to SuggestBot’s recommendations. Participation in the study is voluntary. Should you wish to not participate in the study, or have questions or concerns, you can find contact information in the consent information sheet.
We have added information about the quality of the suggested articles using a Low/Medium/High scale which goes from Low to High .
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. We appreciate that you have signed up to receive suggestions regularly, your contributions make Wikipedia better — thanks for helping!
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please let us know on SuggestBot's talk page. Regards from Nettrom (talk), SuggestBot's caretaker. -- SuggestBot (talk) 00:25, 4 July 2012 (UTC)

Nomination of Inline-twin engine for deletion
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Inline-twin engine is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Inline-twin engine until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Dennis Bratland (talk) 14:17, 4 July 2012 (UTC)
- I just proposed to merge any content that's useful (i.e not redundant or un-notable) into Straight-two engine, but nobody seems to take to the idea. benzband (talk) 15:20, 4 July 2012 (UTC)

Thank you Benzband
You are the first person saying to me "Welcome" in wikipedia. I was glad as childen when I read your "Welcome" and offering "Teahouse". I am not able to write as fast as needed; because I'm an old man. Please excuse me for my tardiness. Thank you again very much. --Fightingagainstlies (talk) 18:21, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
- I am really glad that you liked the message!
- I wouldn't worry about typing skills too much, because yours seem fine to me (and should there be any mishaps, they can easily be fixed).
- Also, probably you already know but there are 284 other language Wikipedias that you can edit, so if you can speak in any of those languages you might like to edit there too. benzband (talk) 18:46, 7 July 2012 (UTC)

Job
I see that you're active with WikiProject Disambiguation. I wonder if you'd mind taking a look at Job? It seems to me that there's a natural primary article for this at Job (role), but currently the dab page Job is primary, complicated by a redirect from Job (disambiguation). I noticed this because it is the only Vital 100 article with a parenthetic title. If you can make some sense of this, it would be a big help. Thanks, LeadSongDog come howl! 17:53, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
- Sure! I'm not an expert on Wikipedia policy but yeah IMHO Job (role) is the primary topic.

User talk:Fenros and help me-helped
Hi Benzband. Can I ask you why you replaced my nulling of the helpme request, my preferred method for closing helpme requests, with {{Help me-helped}}? (a template I've actually considered nominating for deletion as a useless and intrusive albatross on the helpme process, bloating people's talk pages).--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 10:04, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
- Sure! It's because {{help me-helped}} provides a little note in case the OP has any further questions. benzband (talk) 12:10, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for responding. I understood you did it because you prefer it as a closure method (whereas I think the note in it is useless as utterly tacit and the template is pure bloat), but that's not the issue at all. The issue is that you overrode my close with your close. Or to put it another way, do you think it would be proper if you closed a helpme request with help-me-helped and I undid that because I like nulling better, and replaced it with {{tnull|helpme}} or {{tl|helpme}}, etc. – do you see what I'm getting at?--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 12:29, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
- Yep. I've undone the edit, and will refrain from overriding in the future. Seriously, i don't care how it's done anyway (the only reason for using that method is because that's what others have done to me). When i placed the tag i had Fenros in mind, not any personal esthetic satisfaction. benzband (talk) 12:52, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks much. I didn't think you had any evil aesthetics plot in mind! I just wanted to clear up the issue. By the way, I've been answering helpme requests since 2005/6 (years before this template was created) and I've never seen a single user who didn't understand that they could repost a helpme request if they had another question.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 13:05, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
- Makes sense. Also reminds me of this page which includes it a total of… *20* times (yeah, utterly pointless). ^^ benzband (talk) 13:12, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
- Wow! I don't like to do things that I know have little to no chance of succeeding, like nominating the template for deletion, but I do think it should have
{{documentation}}
which says that once it's been used once on a single user's talk page, further helpme requests by the same user should be nulled. That page you linked is just silly. I might take a stab at adding documentation tonight.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 13:42, 13 July 2012 (UTC)

P.S.N.A.College of Engineering and Technology
The timing is the issue. R3 exists to get rid of unlikely redirects that don't have a substantive chance ever of having been used. Since it's been around for a year and a half, there's a good chance that it's been used. Unlikely-and-old is a decent reason for going to RFD, but not a good reason for speedy deletion. How to enable AFT5 on an article
Turns out adding an article to Category:Article Feedback 5 Additional Articles makes AFT5 show up on it. You asked about this here, so I thought I'd let you know. I know it works, because I made AFT5 show up on Folding@home just by adding the category. :D Jesse V. (talk) 05:04, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for July 17
Hi. When you recently edited Positive hardcore, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Northern Star (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Article Feedback newsletter
Hey all!
So, big news this week - on Tuesday, we ramped up to 5 percent of articles :). There's been a lot more feedback (pardon the pun) as I'm sure you've noticed, and to try and help we've scheduled a large number of office hours sessions, including one this evening at 22:00 UTC in the #wikimedia-office connect channel, and another at 01:00 UTC for the aussies amongst us :). I hope to see some of you there - if any of you can't make it but have any questions, I'm always happy to help.
Thanks! Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 20:44, 20 July 2012 (UTC)

A General Quesiton
I am asking you a question about Wikipedia, I wanted to ask you as you seem like the best person to ask (don't get cocky now).
I was wondering why the English Wikipedia doesn't allow you to create an article just after you've searched for it (like on the German version). I was on vacation in Germany last week and I was editing Wikipedia there (as I always do) and I noticed I could create an article (I didn't though as I couldn't write in German).
Here's me being nosy and curious.
Oh and please don't feel offended about my comment of being cocky, it was merely my style of humor. 92.39.201.183 (talk) 21:09, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
- Hi, on English Wikipedia, IP's have to use the articles for creation process. There was a major scandal where an IP created libelous information about a living person. I'm searching for the link but haven't found it. Ryan Vesey Review me! 21:14, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, the English Wikipedia does allow you to create an article, but only when you're logged in and autoconfirmed. Anonymous/logged out users like yourself get offered the opportunity to request an article (have a look yourself here, for instance). For more information on starting an article, see Wikipedia:Starting an article. Cheers, :) benzband (talk) 21:18, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
- Oh, hi. Thanks. I do see a major problem if any IP can create an article, I suppose I was just being selfish and wanted to make a page. I don't like having an account, I find it too much of a tie down effort, I think I should consider getting one though. I will request an article, thanks. 92.39.201.183 (talk) 21:23, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
- Do you know the "submit an article" template that you're supposed to put at the top of a page, I will write an article in the sandbox and submit it and see if it gets accepted. PS:will that actually work? Thanks, and thanks to Ryan Vesey for the help. 92.39.201.183 (talk) 21:27, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
- That won't work because the Wikipedia:Sandbox gets regularly overwritten by a bot, and by the editors who use it to make tests. From looking at your contributions i take it you want to create an article on Congorock? In which case i can help you go set up an AfC draft. benzband (talk) 21:33, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, that would be great. But as I mentioned in my previous comment I always venture out to create an article, (ect) and end up at that page and suddenly I feel daunted and confused. Is there a page on Wikipedia that offers a step-by-step guide on how to make a draft? Thanks as always. :) 92.39.201.183 (talk) 21:38, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
- Try chapter 4 of the missing manual (It's available in print form as well, but not as up to date). Ryan Vesey Review me! 21:41, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
- On another note, creating an account will allow you to have your own sandbox to work on it in. Here's some reasons to create one. Ryan Vesey Review me! 21:43, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
