J.R. Moehringer (born c. 1964) is an American journalist and author. He is a national correspondent for The Los Angeles Times.
A 1986 graduate of Yale University[1], Moehringer began his journalism career as a news assistant at The New York Times.
He won the Pulitzer Prize for Feature Writing in 2000.
The film Resurrecting the Champ, based on Moehringer's article on former boxing great Bob Satterfield in the Los Angeles Times Magazine, is scheduled for release in 2007. It stars Samuel L. Jackson, Josh Hartnett and Alan Alda.
