History
Shoro Station opened on 28 March 1941 as a signalling station.[1] It would become a station for passengers by 1952.[1]
With the privatization of the Japan National Railway (JNR) on 1 April 1987, the station came under the aegis of the Hokkaido Railway Company (JR Hokkaido).[1]
