Why this image cannot be replaced
This image is of one of the few prominent members of the Tamil Jain community. The community is a micro community of ~83000 in India. In addition, the community is under represented on WP and on the internet in general. This image seeks to give a face to a prominent person of that community. A free image could not be found because it doesn't exist in the public domain and will probably never exist. The subject cannot be adequately represented in an encyclopedic manner without using the non-free content.--Aayush18 (talk) 20:03, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- He's still alive. What's to stop someone taking a picture of him? J Milburn (talk) 19:56, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- It is true that he is alive. But an image of when he is older would not help in identification. For example, in the article Elvis Presley, an image is shown when he was in his prime, not before his death. It helps in recollection if the image is of the person as people remember him. I'm not trying to defy WP rules in any way, and I want to apologize if I made a mistake. This and the other image are my first 2 direct uploads. --Aayush18 (talk) 20:03, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
