neck fashioned from inlaid strips of ebony
and ivory.

Martin and Coupa Guitar.Circa 1835-1839
Labeled "Martin & Coupa" with an address
of 385 Broadway in New York City, this
early Martin was constructed with Brazilian
rosewood back and sides and the Stauffer
headstock which was typical of C. F. Martin,
Sr.'s instruments from his New York City
era.
