English: September 11, 2016. The ancient mound (4000-1000 BCE) of Gird-î Qalrakh (ِArabic: تل قلرخ), Shahrizor Plain, Sulaymaniyah Governorate, Iraq. The mound (or Tell) was first registered in 1943. Excavations started in 2015 and carried out by the University of Frankfort.
