Description |
Back to the vicinity of Bomun Lake Resort District. I am now visiting an exposition park built for an international cultural exposition a few years prior. The Gyeongju Tower is the main structure of the park, and the cavity is supposed to represent the 68-meter-high Hwangnyongsa nine-story wooden pagoda at full scale, which used to dominate the Gyeongju skyline until being destroyed by a Mongol invasion in 1238. I can enter the tower and take the elevator to the top to visit an observatory and a museum. |
