Kananga, Kasaï central, RD Congo: A la suite de l’ultimatum de huit jours donné par le Commandant Secteur de Kasaï Central aux membres de la milice Kamuina Nsapu pour déposer leurs armes, une mission d’évaluation mixte MONUSCO/Agences de l’ONU a été déployée à Tshikula dans le territoire de Dibaya pour marquer la présence de la MONUSCO, évaluer la situation sécuritaire et humanitaire dans le cadre de la restauration de l’autorité de l’Etat dans les territoires sous contrôles de la milice Kamuina Nsapu et engager le dialogue pour un processus de désarmement pacifique. Kananga, Kasai central, DR Congo – Following the eight-day ultimatum given by the Sector Commander of Kasai Central to Kamuina Nsapu militia members to lay down weapons, a Joint Monusco and UN Agencies assessment mission, was deployed in Tshikula, the territory of Dibaya to mark MONUSCO’s presence in the area, to assess the security and humanitarian situation as part of the restoration of the state authority in territories controlled by the Kamuina Nsapu militia and to engage in talks for a peaceful disarmament process.
