English: Emeterio Barcelon y Barcelo-Soriano (1897-1978) was a painter, professor, lecturer, lyricist and a writer. He was made an honorary member of the Royal Literary Academy of Seville and the Royal Academy of Legislation and Jurisprudence while he was a delegate to the Asamblea Cervantina in Madrid in 1947. He also became a correspondent of the Real Academia Española de la Lengua. He was later inducted an academic of the Academia Filipina in 1960 for his pro-Spanish work and his literary ability, and later became its President.
