The siege of Jaffa was a military engagement between the Fatimid caliphate and the Qarmatians during their invasion of Egypt in 971. The Siege was broken in 972 and Qarmtians were driven out of the Levant. sfn|Daftary|2007|p=162}}[1][2][3]
