Peter Bankov (b. 1969) is a Belarusian graphic designer influenced by European and Slavic culture. Born in Minsk, Belarus, and hailing from a self-proclaimed family of artists¹, Bankov’s work is digitally created and presented in poster form. His work is textured, mixing physical and digital pieces in highly expressive forms². His career began in Moscow, Russia upon founding Neuch, an artist book collective, in 1993, later founding the Design Depot Company and a well-recognized design magazine, kAk³.
In 2014 Bankov hosted a public poster diary documenting daily projects. Viewing the media of posters as a pivotal design choice, and is quoted as saying “It is [a] laboratory of modern design”⁴ in a 2022 interview on his work, Bankov’s pieces are bold, expressive, and powerful.
