Mustapha Jawara is a Gambian Diplomat currently serving as the High Commissioner of The Gambia to India[1]. He was appointed by President Adama Barrow in 2021. He also oversees the diplomatic operations with accreditation to Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives and Bhutan. [2]

Jawara attended Durham Technical Community College in Durham from 2001 to 2004 and received further training in information technology and network technology.
He then earned his Bachelor of Applied Science from Campbell University from 2004 to 2006 .
He spent the years from 2013 to 2015 at Walden University and completed his Masters Degree in information systems.
Prior to taking office as High Commissioner, he worked as a tech support analyst at North Carolina State University, US.
