The German occupation of Moresnet was a German occupation that occurred during the First World War.

Occupation
The 6th Army occupied Moresnet within half an hour, on 4 August 1914.[1] In total 147 Moresnets died from war related causes.
Aftermath
according to the Treaty of Versailles of 1919, in Articles 32 and 33, Germany renounced its claims to this territory and it became part of Belgium.[2]
