On 21 May, Salford City announced their first two pre-season friendlies, against FC United of Manchester and Altrincham.[3] Three days later, an additional two more were added to City's pre-season plans, Warrington Town and Rochdale.[4] A fifth friendly was confirmed on May 28, versus Bamber Bridge.[5] Three days later, a journey across the Irish Sea was announced for a friendly against Crusaders.[6]
