WrestleMania 41, also promoted as WrestleMania Vegas, is the upcoming 41st annual WrestleMania professional wrestling event produced by WWE. It will take place on April 19 and 20, 2025 at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, marking the second WrestleMania event to take place in the Las Vegas area, after WrestleMania IX in 1993, which was held at Caesars Palace. It will also be the first WrestleMania event to take place on the third weekend of April, as WrestleMania usually takes place on the first weekend of the month. In addition, it will be the first WrestleMania to take place during the Easter weekend. The event will be available to livestream through Peacock in the United States and Netflix internationally. It will air on pay-per-view (PPV) and will feature for wrestlers from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions.
Production
Background
WrestleMania is WWE's flagship event, having first been held in 1985 as the company's first pay-per-view event. It is the longest-running professional wrestling event in history and is held annually between mid-March to mid-April.[1] Along with Royal Rumble, SummerSlam, Survivor Series, and Money in the Bank, it is one of the company's five biggest events of the year, referred to as the "Big Five".[2][3] WrestleMania is ranked the sixth-most valuable sports brand in the world by Forbes,[4] and has been described as the Super Bowl of sports entertainment.[5] Much like the Super Bowl, cities bid for the right to host the year's edition of WrestleMania.[6] WrestleMania 41 will feature wrestlers from the Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. In addition to airing on traditional pay-per-view, it will be available to livestream on Peacock in the United States and Netflix in international markets. It was rumored that WrestleMania 41 will take place in either Las Vegas or Minnesota.
On May 4, 2024, during the 2024 Kentucky Derby, it was announced that Allegiant Stadium would host WrestleMania 41 on April 19 and 20, 2025. It will be second WWE PLE event to be held in the same venue after SummerSlam in 2021.[7]
Storylines
The event will include an unknown number of matches that each result from scripted storylines, where wrestlers portray heroes, villains, or less distinguishable characters in scripted events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches. Results are predetermined by WWE's writers on the Raw and SmackDown brands,[8][9] while storylines are produced on WWE's weekly television shows, Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown.[10]
