Psalms 113-118
Unused redirect, unlikely to be used. Ibadibam (talk) 20:12, 13 July 2018 (UTC)
- Keep. Please keep. Psalms 113-118 and Hallel are one in the same. --Omer Toledano (talk) 04:23, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
- Keep: someone may search for Psalms 113-118, useful redirect. --Danski454 (talk) 11:12, 15 July 2018 (UTC)
Please add new comments below this notice. Thanks, — Godsy (TALKCONT) 22:18, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
- Keep per Omer Toledano. This term unambiguously refers to the target and appears in its lead. There are a few dozen GBooks hits which use "Psalms 113-118" without using the term "Hallel". 59.149.124.29 (talk) 03:16, 22 July 2018 (UTC)
- Keep has a cited entry within the article which explains that these two terms are synonymous --Lenticel (talk) 00:43, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
- Keep as the hatnote already explains options for those looking for the relevant chapters and don't want the Hallel ones. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:23, 25 July 2018 (UTC)
- Keep as per above - Hatnote provided so not really seeing a valid reason to delete. –Davey2010Talk 22:24, 25 July 2018 (UTC)
Mark Hausknecht
- Mark Hausknecht → George H. W. Bush (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
Redirect appearing on Recent Deaths. Main name was a cardiologist whose chief claim to fame was apparently treating former U.S. president George H. W. Bush, and who apparently was gunned down in a drive by shooting. Page currently redirects to the president's page, which says nothing about this doctor. Redirect should be deleted and redlink restored; if he's notable enough to have an article. we shouldn't fool others into thinking he's already been covered. Smerdis of Tlön - killing the human spirit since 2003! 18:45, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
- Support deletion was confused when I saw it was a redirection in the first place. As the target I fixed the redirect has no mention of him as nominator said, it’s not a warranted redirect. Rusted AutoParts 18:53, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
- Delete. Non-notable physician with no room to be mentioned in the target. Nohomersryan (talk) 19:36, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
- Delete per Nohomersryan --Danski454 (talk) 21:29, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
- Delete per above. Fails WP:GNG at the moment. Inter&anthro (talk) 05:56, 22 July 2018 (UTC)
- Delete. A tragedy, but he's only notable because he treated a former President and that can easily be placed into GHWB's biography. Zerbey (talk) 15:23, 22 July 2018 (UTC)
- Delete per above, and because the whole point of temporarily allowing redlinks on Recent deaths is so that people will see that they're red and start an article, per Talk:Deaths in 2018/FAQ. A redirect (particularly one pointing to a location which isn't appropriate for extensive coverage of the deceased) defeats the whole purpose. 59.149.124.29 (talk) 06:17, 23 July 2018 (UTC)
- Delete He was not a significant part of GHW Bush's life, as evidenced by the lack of mention in the former president's bio article. His manner of death does not change that; within the context of GHW Bush's life it's not a notable (impactful) event. Drdpw (talk) 19:17, 23 July 2018 (UTC)
- Create New Article "who apparently was gunned down in a drive by shooting".?? I would not describe it as a drive by shooting. Surveillance video shows the gunman following Mark Hausknecht on another bicycle before the killing. Not a common modus operandi. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/07/23/surveillance-images-show-gunman-behind-george-h-w-bushs-former-doctor-moments-before-murder.html StreetSign (talk) 20:31, 23 July 2018 (UTC)
- Sorry. It's tragic, but Wikipedia Wikipedia is not a newspaper. Kleuske (talk) 21:19, 23 July 2018 (UTC)
- Delete tragic, but WP:NOTNEWS. Kleuske (talk) 21:19, 23 July 2018 (UTC)
- Delete - There's a lot of speculation about his death given the identity of the killer is unknown. In the meantime, though, deletion seems like the right call. We can write an article in the future if some kind of new, notable information comes into being due to the circumstances (although, then it will probably be titled 'Killing of Mark Hausknecht' akin to similar articles). CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 00:19, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
- Update -- Houston Police Department Chief Art Acevedo said he doesn't believe it was a random attack. In a tweet from the Houston police account, Acevedo said, "There's a high probability the doctor was targeted." StreetSign (talk) 20:32, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
Davidson (Software Company)
- Davidson (Software Company) → Davidson & Associates (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
Unlikely search term with capitalized disambiguator. Version with properly capitalized disambiguator already in place. Lordtobi (✉) 15:20, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
- Keep as a harmless {{R from move}}. Thryduulf (talk) 15:23, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
- Delete. A subject for a redirect should be mentioned on the page it is redirected to which is not the case here. DrKilleMoff (talk) 21:36, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
- Keep - no need to delete because the exact wording of the disambiguation is not mentioned in the article. --Danski454 (talk) 21:41, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
- Delete. There was a Davidson Software in Melbourne, Australia, and an American one that made stuff called Kidworks and Math Blaster (https://www.newspapers.com/image/296202871/?terms=Davidson%2BSoftware%2BCompany). There could be more hidden away in garages or basements somewhere. BeenAroundAWhile (talk) 04:10, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
- Delete for both of the above reasons, and because we do not need to inspire the idea that "(Capitalized Disambiguation Words For No Reason)" is a thing, or people are apt to start making more of them. This is a lot like the previous day's RfD on a "(u.s.)" DAB, just in the other direction. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 19:46, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
- Delete as Davidson (software company) exists for dab and redirect purposes. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:23, 25 July 2018 (UTC)
- Keep per Thryduulf. The existence of other non-notable software companies with similar names is irrelevant: we don't aim to disambiguate between every entity that exists, only between those that have Wikipedia articles. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 14:32, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
