This information page shares information on English Wikipedia's manual of style for presenting the gender identity of people. There are two parts to this page: the list of discussions is an objective log of conversations on this topic as they have occurred in various places in Wikipedia, and the guideline recommendations are the consensus summary of the sum of those conversations.

Discussions
There are two discourses in the Wikipedia Manual of Style on separate topics related to gender. These discourses are distinct enough for separate consideration. One is "gender-neutral language", which is not the subject of this information page, and which anyone can discuss at WP:Gender neutral language. The other is the management of proper names and gender pronouns in Wikipedia articles which are biographies.
