To report an error in content currently or imminently on the Main Page, use the appropriate section below.
- Where is the error? An exact quotation of the text in question helps.
- Offer a correction if possible.
- References are helpful, especially when reporting an obscure factual or grammatical error.
- Time zones. The Main Page runs on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC, currently 07:19 on 20 May 2024) and is not adjusted to your local time zone.
- Can you resolve the problem yourself? If the error lies primarily in the content of an article linked from the Main Page, fix the problem there before reporting it here. Text on the Main Page generally defers to the articles with bolded links. Upcoming content on the Main Page is usually only protected from editing beginning 24 hours before its scheduled appearance. Before that period, you can be bold and fix any issues yourself.
- Do not use {{edit fully-protected}} on this page, which will not get a faster response. It is unnecessary, because this page is not protected, and causes display problems, because this is not a talk page. (See the bottom of this revision for an example.)
- No chit-chat. Lengthy discussions should be moved to a suitable location elsewhere, such as the talk page of the relevant article or project.
- Respect other editors. Another user wrote the text you want changed, or reported an issue they see in something you wrote. Everyone's goal should be producing the best Main Page possible. The compressed time frame of the Main Page means sometimes action must be taken before there has been time for everyone to comment. Be civil to fellow users.
- Reports are removed when resolved. Once an error has been addressed, determined not to be an error, or the item has rotated off the Main Page, the report will be removed from this page. Check the revision history for a record of any discussion or action taken; no archives are kept.

- "... that Magnolia Way, officially designated as Mississippi Highway 780, offers drivers no reassurance?" this is cute (it should have been the quirky hook of course), but the article just says " the designation does not appear on any reassurance marker on either terminus of the road", not that there are absolutely no reassurance markers on the highway. The Rambling Man (talk) 06:27, 10 July 2018 (UTC)
- I think that was the point of the hook though: it makes the reader wonder what it means by "no reassurance". Hooks don't need to be literal. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 12:33, 10 July 2018 (UTC)
- You're missing TRM's point. The article says that there is no marker at either end, but it doesn't say there are no reassurance markers at all (for example, at the midpoint). I'm also rather confused about the idea of reassurance markers at the termini. Reassurance markers are to indicate that you are still on the road you intended and are thus found along the stretch of the road, not its ends. --Khajidha (talk) 13:30, 10 July 2018 (UTC)

- "... that French mezzo-soprano Isabelle Druet, a fan of reggae, performed with Les Arts Florissants at Carnegie Hall and has played as Carmen in Nancy and Düsseldorf?" sorry, this is getting a little odd now, these facts are practically not connected. Nor are they particularly interesting. I'm sure a lot of people like reggae, that many artists have performed with Les Arts Florissants, and have been Carmen. The Rambling Man (talk) 06:29, 10 July 2018 (UTC)
- Speaking as an uninvolved editor and an impartial reader, I think an opera singer being a fan of reggae is kind of quirky, since they're two genres that aren't always associated with each other. Perhaps individually these things aren't uncommon, but when put together, they're quirky. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 12:33, 10 July 2018 (UTC)
- Putting all of these things in one hook seems disorganized. Why not just go with "...that French mezzo-soprano Isabelle Druet is a fan of reggae?" That is short, coherent, and interesting. --Khajidha (talk) 14:04, 10 July 2018 (UTC)
- Considering that hook is indeed interesting, and there isn't much time left, I'd suggest that the current hook be swapped out with that ASAP. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 14:12, 10 July 2018 (UTC)

- " Lion's Choice, based in St. Louis, was named the Missouri state winner for the National Restaurant Association's Restaurant Neighbor Award in 2006?" wow, a minor restaurant chain wins a completely non-notable award? Really? The Rambling Man (talk) 06:34, 10 July 2018 (UTC)
- While I agree this is a very trivial point, I don't see how this is an error. I haven't regularly frequented WP:ERRORS, so there may be an obvious answer. power~enwiki (π, ν) 06:38, 10 July 2018 (UTC)
- It fails a basic rule of DYK, that it should be interesting to a broad audience. And a minor chain restaurant winning a trivial award is not. The Rambling Man (talk) 06:46, 10 July 2018 (UTC)
- That's got to be one of the most obscure and uninteresting hooks ever, against some stiff competition. Black Kite (talk) 07:20, 10 July 2018 (UTC)

- Is it okay if I propose an alternate hook here: how about something like "that Missouri-based restaurant chain Lion's Choice was founded by a chemical engineer?" Is that hooky enough? Pinging nominator Zingarese and promoter Gerda Arendt. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 12:33, 10 July 2018 (UTC)

- " that the Austrian tarot card game of" - the article actually calls it " a card game ... from the ... Tarock family" and links specifically to Tarot card games#Tarock. Incidentally, this one also fails a different basic DYK rule, i.e. there are whole sections of the article without a single reference. The Rambling Man (talk) 06:48, 10 July 2018 (UTC)
