- (Discuss) — Nawab Kapur Singh Virk → Nawab Kapur Singh - "Nawab Kapur Singh Virk" is known as "Nawab Kapur Singh" in all the books I have checked so far. This is his title. He is known occaisionally as Nawab Kapur Singh Singhpura (His affiliate Misl name), but in 99% of cases as Nawab Kapur Singh. What I suggest is all links such as "Nawab Kapur Singh Virk", "Nawab Kapur Singh Singhpura" all be linked to a retitled article called "Nawab Kapur Singh" (which is his correct title and used in all references in books, and not to "Nawab Kapur Singh Virk" (which is an incorrect title. - (Discuss) — Paramount leader → Paramount Leader — "Paramount Leader" is used as a title, even though it's unofficial. roc (talk) 07:26, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Prince Fernando, Duke of Viseu → Ferdinand, Duke of Viseu — Prince Fernando, Duke of Viseu → Ferdinand, Duke of Viseu — The above moves are requested in order to straighten out the odd naming non-conventions of Portuguese royalty. I have removed all the princely titles, per policy and guidelines, I believe. I have also (mostly) standardised spellings to English, but this would leave some Portuguese royalty that I have not listed (because they did not have princely titles in their article titles) out of the loop. - Infante João, Duke of Valencia de Campos → John, Duke of Valencia de Campos
- Prince Fernando, Lord of Serpa → Ferdinand, Lord of Serpa
- Infanta Mafalda of Portugal → Mafalda of Portugal
- Infanta Teresa, Countess of Flanders → Theresa, Countess of Flanders
- Princess Constança of Portugal → Constance of Portugal
- Prince Ferdinand, Count of Flanders → Ferdinand, Count of Flanders
- Infanta Branca, Lady of Guadalajara → Branca, Lady of Guadalajara
- Prince Afonso, Lord of Portalegre → Afonso, Lord of Portalegre
- (Discuss) — Metrication controversy → Anti-metrication — Because the article is in fact about the anti-metrication viewpoint and the present title is a weasel worded name. Red King (talk) 00:37, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

- (Discuss) — Critique of capitalism → Criticisms of capitalism — "Critique of capitalism" is not NPOV. Every other socio-economic system has a criticisms page. World Views (talk) 23:16, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Strutter (MTV Show) → Strutter (TV series) — The clarifier (TV series) is the standard disambiguation for episodic television programmes. And this is the only TV show with this title with an article, so further disambiguation (MTV) is not needed. ShelfSkewed Talk 22:32, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Ophelia (character) → Ophelia — By far, this article is the primary topic and the character is the inspiration for most, if not all, of the items listed on the disambiguation pages. Googling "Ophelia" brings this article up as the first result. And, from a page-view perspective, this trounces all the other articles except for the painting: 700 views per day for this article, 435 for the painting, 227 for the disambiguation pager (which you need to go through if you search Wikipedia for "Ophelia"), 55 for the album, and 13 for the moon. (using stats.grok.se for July 2009). As this nearly almost gets as many page views as the rest combined (albeit for two spikes in viewing for the painting), this should take preference. Sceptre (talk) 19:59, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Catholic Church → Roman Catholic Church — Testing consensus for current title as some editors argue previous move to Catholic Church was done out-of-process and presumably without a true consensus. --Richard (talk) 19:33, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — EA (disambiguation) → EA — No obvious primary use for this acronym. The disambiguation page should be at EA. --NSH001 (talk) 18:26, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Enneagram (shape) → Enneagram — Be consistent with how we name things. Do we call a 5-pointed star a pentagram or a quintagram?? Do we call a 6-pointed star a hexagram or a sexagram?? Georgia guy (talk) 18:12, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Iron & Wine → Iron and Wine — Seems to be Sam Beam's preferred form of the band name, from his web site and the two most recent studio albums. Foetusized (talk) 17:42, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Cloud Dead → Clouddead — whatever WP:MOSTM has to say about stylised orthography (and i'm still not entirely convinced it applies here), the band name is certainly not two words. Move back to Clouddead, then we'll discuss the capitalisation. tomasz. 16:37, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Yeoman (disambiguation) → yeoman — The current article yeoman is about the word. It clearly describes a large number of separate concepts. Per WP:NAD, Wikipedia articles are to be on singular concepts. Multiple concepts with the same name must be disambiguated. As such, the existing yeoman article can be overwritten by this disambiguation page. Powers T 15:45, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Wiki → Wiki website — Wiki only means fast in the hawaiian language, "wiki" is not mentioned in the dictionary. The word is thus unreferenced and website should be added to give it some meaning. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.182.165.108 (talk) 14:29, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

- (Discuss) — Aragua Fútbol Club → Aragua F.C. — I think the article name should be renamed to Aragua F.C. It makes the article name faster to type and less wordy as Futbol Club is a very common phrase and. MicroX (talk) 01:40, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Texarkana (Amtrak station) → Texarkana Union Station — Use name of station as given in article, which is also the NRHP program name for the station. Texarkana is the name of a town or other community; "Texarkana Union Station" is a proper noun name available for this station and should be used. See also Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (stations)#Historic or otherwise named stations. doncram (talk) 01:06, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Certified Information System Auditor → Certified Information Systems Auditor — The article title is a proper name and the name is "... Systems ...", not "... System ..." - (Discuss) — Konjiki no Gash Bell!! Movie 2: Attack of the Mecha-Vulcan → Konjiki no Gash Bell!!: Attack of the Mecha-Vulcan — No where in the title where it says "Movie 2". DragonZero (talk) 21:51, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

- (Discuss) — Admiral (United Kingdom) → Admiral (Royal Navy) — Rank pre-dates the creation of the UK, not the creation of the RN. Also change would bring consistency with Admiral of the Fleet (Royal Navy), Commodore (Royal Navy), Captain (Royal Navy), etc Greenshed (talk) 21:26, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Salford Docks → Manchester Docks — Although the docks were indeed based in Salford, they were operated by the Port of Manchester and named the Manchester Docks. This can be seen on the map shown in the article itself, and in pictures from the time. I believe it is therefore appropriate to rename this article to refer to the location primarily as Manchester Docks. Roobarb! (talk) 19:49, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Interpreting → Interpretation (language) — Placing this article at the title "Interpreting" appears totally arbitrary; a person practicing any of the many different kinds of interpretation would be "interpreting," and a person doing so would be called an "interpreter" (which redirects here). Putting the disambiguation page at Interpretation and the language-interpretation page at Interpreting makes little sense to me, unless there's a commonly understood distinction between the two words that I'm not aware of.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Propaniac (talk • contribs) 04:49, August 19, 2009 (UTC)*Weak Oppose — I tend to agree with the reasoning that you've provided here, but I cant' agree to the Interpretation (language) proposed name. Unfortunately, I can't seem to think of anything better.

- (Discuss) — The Bible and history → Historicity of the Bible — This article has always been about the historicity (or lack thereof) of the Bible. Due to the ambiguity present in the current title ("The Bible and history"), some editors, acting in good faith, have inserted content which has no bearing on the issue of biblical historicity, but rather on current events which are claimed to stem from the question of biblical historicity. Since Historicity of the Bible already redirects here, I would like to propose that it become the title of the article. Lisa (talk) 17:23, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Springfield, Massachusetts (Amtrak station) → Springfield Union Station — Use name for station given in article, which is apparently the common name for the place. Amtrak station stop association is just one association of probably many other railroad companies through time. doncram (talk) 16:53, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Waterbury (Metro-North station) → Waterbury Union Station — Rename to reflect name of building and broader historic sweep, rather than this just being a stop on a current commuter railroad. doncram (talk) 15:51, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Germantown White House → Germantown White House — The official name of the Deshler-Morris House has been changed to the Germantown White House according to the US National Park Service. fintler (talk) 14:09, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Arrondissement of Château-Chinon(Ville) → Arrondissement of Château-Chinon (Ville) — This was listed under "uncontroversial moves" at WP:RM, but since one editor more-or-less contested it, I'm starting a formal discussion. –Juliancolton | Talk 10:54, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

- (Discuss) — Cee-lo (dice game) → Cee-lo — in conjunction with a move of the current disambiguation page to Cee-lo (disambiguation). The dice game is clearly the primary meaning, as the rapper's stage name is derived from the game, and his article is already disambiguated by his last name. - (Discuss) — Italians of Romanian descent → Romanians in Italy — move to reflect article content. This article and its sources discuss Romanian migrants in Italy, hundreds of thousands of people of whom few are naturalised. No good reason to restrict the scope of this article to "Italian citizens with Romanian ancestors", a narrow topic which has far fewer non-trivial, reliable sources. cab (talk) 00:52, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

- (Discuss) — Faceoff → Face-off — Most dictionaries refer to a "face-off" as a noun, with the phrasal usage "face off". Hockey Canada (at least) uses this style.[1]* Jane and Jill will take the face-off.* Jane will face off against Jill.Caulfield14 (talk) 22:44, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Andreas Krieger → Heidi Krieger — As per WP:COMMONNAME, it is the most commonly used name that should be used for the title. Krieger is notable as an athlete and he was known as Heidi Krieger during the time he competed in the athletics. So, that is the name under which he/she is most commonly known. This is the similar situation with other articles of people who changed their names, but the article titles keep their birth names, because those are the names under which they are usually known. (see: Cat Stevens). Vanjagenije (talk) 21:48, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Carrier air wing → Carrier air wing (United States) — See above comment for reason for change. - (Discuss) — Cove Cooper → Jeremy Jacobson — User:Amandabilliot has made a royal mess here, apparently trying to morph an article about "Jeremy Jacobson" into an article about someone else entirely (Dash Cooper?), with a massive series of page moves that has left a nest of invalid redirects in the way. I don't know if this is some silly game, or an actual attempt at constructive editing gone horribly wrong. I suggest that the page be moved back to Jeremy Jacobson. - (Discuss) — Naruhito, Crown Prince of Japan → Crown Prince Naruhito — He is generally referred to as "Crown Prince Naruhito" in the English-language media,[1] and there is no obvious reason why Wiki should use a different style. "of [country]" is a wiki style to disambiguate the names of European kings. There is no need to do this for Japanese names as they are distinctive to Japan. Dead tree encyclopedias put the given name first so names can be alphabetized, but that is not an issue on Wikipedia. Notice that it is Pope John Paul II and Crown Princess Masako. - (Discuss) — Weezer (Red album) → Weezer (2008 album) — Page was moved without discussion - ignoring past consensus. The album is clearly self-titled Weezer, the named Red album merely comes from the colour - a fan made title to distinguish three self-titled albums. This needs move protection too now. - (Discuss) — Valve stem (tire) → Valve stem — disambiguation is redundant, no other article with the same name; disambiguation page is also redundant, because there's only one alternative use of the term "valve stem" thus a hatnote is appropriate per WP:D#Disambiguation page or disambiguation links?; (tire) is misleading, as the article is for a device used for many non-wheel/tire applications; (tire) is inaccurate, as valves are fitted to wheels (specifically, to rims or tubes), not tires. — 58.8.12.37 (talk) 22:17, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

- (Discuss) — Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea → Ponyo — Currently the article uses the translation of the Japanese title, whereas Wikipedia:MOS and Wikipedia:Naming conventions (use English) state that the article should be under the official English title, which is just Ponyo. - (Discuss) — Sport in the People's Republic of China → Sports in China — Sport is not political - the article is largely about recreation and amateur sport anyway. It is therefore unecessary to say that this is only "Sport in the PRC" as opposed to "Sport in the ROC". Even "China at the Olympics" is not named "PRC at the Olympics" - and the Olympics is often a political event. "Sport in Taiwan" is already a separate article. The new article would deal with only sports in mainland China. Colipon+(Talk) 18:20, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

- (Discuss) — M-171 (Michigan highway) → F-41 (Michigan county highway) — The highway's current designation is F-41. While county routes aren't usually notable enough for their own articles, this one seems to have enough of a history to warrant a standalone article, given that it was once a portion of US-23 and later had its own state highway designation for quite some time. An article on F-41 can cover its history as US-23 and as M-171 all in one place instead of the M-171 history being on one page, and the F-41 history on the list of county routes in Michigan. - (Discuss) — Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven → Lift Yr. Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven! — Discogs, MusicBrainz, Rate Your Music, and the official site spell it that way. ≤ alvareo [speak to me] ≥ 02:01, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Tom Morris, Sr. → Old Tom Morris — Per WP:COMMONNAME and WP:NAMEPEOPLE#Senior and junior. These two golfers are almost always referred to as "Old Tom" and "Young Tom". Aubergine (talk) 00:04, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

- (Discuss) — Burroughs MCP → Unisys MCP — since Unisys took over Burroughs more than 20 years ago and since MCP is still being sold by Unisys. It would be renamed with a redirect from Burroughs MCP. Damianthomas (talk) 22:55, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Chord progression → Harmonic progression — I'm just wondering why this article is titled "Chord Progression" rather than "Harmonic Progression". In all of the music theory books and articles I've read, the idea is always referred to as Harmonic Progression. The term has definitely been around for a lot longer, and I would argue that people only started referring to it as "Chord Progression" once the guitar became so prominent (just a theory). Any thoughts on the subject? Rheostatik (talk) 18:58, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Robots exclusion standard → robots.txt — Some googling suggests this term may be more common. --Cybercobra (talk) 18:29, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — TRS connector → Phone connector — Calling this article "TRS connector" is like writing an article on human flight and calling it "Helicopters". Please rename to something more general/appropriate. These were originally used in telephone switchboards, and I wouldn't be surprised if there are a few places where they still are.:Phone plug, phone jack, and phone connector are common terms in the US, but almost always apply to the 1/4-inch versions. The 1/8" are called mini plugs or mini or miniature phone plugs, and the smaller ones are like subminiature. But in Europe it's rather different. I don't think you'll find a consensus for this change. Dicklyon (talk) 15:41, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Chinese protein export contamination → Chinese protein adulteration — Given the 2008 Chinese milk scandal and the results of the trials in the 2007 export incidents, it seems clear both that proteins (at least in some major cases) were intentionally adulterated in China and that sadly not all such protein was for export use as animal feed. - (Discuss) — Frauen DFB Pokal → DFB-Pokal (women) — I suggest this article be moved to DFB-Pokal (women). This would reflect the other naming strategies used for the leagues which are all at Leaguename (women). Also there seems to be no common name for the competition in English - one source (esp. one not so reliable such as soccerway) does not make a common name. Madcynic (talk) 10:04, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Edward Cullen (Twilight) → Edward Cullen — This is clearly the target page. (see stats below):Ed Cullen received about 1030 views in July 2009, Edward Peter Cullen received 1220, and Edward Cullen (Twilight) received 218,230. • S • C • A • R • C • E • 06:31, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Glossary of manias → -mania — This should never have been moved. The subject should be -mania, the English suffix. Irbisgreif (talk) 02:32, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Ab Urbe condita → Ab urbe condita libri — "Ab Urbe condita?" It should be Ab urbe condita but there is another article of that name. I have proposed we change the other article name and when that has been done I propose we move this one. Hm. It may have to be Ab Urbe Condita. Let's bite the bullet and put this right.Dave (talk) 02:28, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Ab urbe condita → Ab Urbe Condita (AUC) — What do you say we move this to "Ab Urbe Condita (AUC)"? Having the difference between article names as insubstantial as a single capital letter strikes me as an insubstantial idea - too confusing. Do reply, will you? If not or if agreement I will just move it.Dave (talk) 02:10, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

- (Discuss) — Circumcision → Male circumcision — Male and female circumcision has been around for thousands of years. This article only discusses male circumcision.Female genital cutting → Female circumcision — Female genital cutting is not WP:NPOV.
*Support move. Pro circumcision editors have setup this long standing NPOV problem by trying to distance female circumcision from male circumcision. It is extreme hypocracy to say male genital cutting is extreme POV but female genital cutting is neutral. Garycompugeek (talk) 17:24, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
- (Discuss) — Yevdokiya Streshnyova → Eudoxia Streshneva — The move is against another Wiki guideline: common name. Eudoxia Streshneva is known to historians, but Yevdokiya Streshnyova isn't. Eudoxia Streshneva is used by 200 websites, while Yevdokiya Streshnyova is used by 10 websites. Even Britannica refers to her as Eudoxia. In other words, Eudoxia Streshneva is the most common name, while Yevdokiya Streshnyova is original research. I propose (and support) moving the page back to Eudoxia Streshneva.
