Erie, PA recently passed GA! I need your clarification about WP:ERIE/WP:NWPA. Other editors (pat) think only Erie County articles should be tagged for the project. I am under the impression it is about Northwest PA not just Erie County, so I tagged Crawford and Warren county articles too. Technically there not in the Erie Metro (its just the county) but I think they should be included in the project after looking at others (including Allentown's). I would think we want to expand and add more articles but he seems to think we want less and only Erie County. Please give us your opinion as you created the project. --<span style="font-family: Century Gothic;">[[User:TREYWiki|<span style="font-weight: bold; color: Green;">T. WPXI
I didn't think that Sinclair owned 10% of WPXI, but wasn't completely sure, so I put up the "citation/reference" tag beside it. Thanks for finally getting to the bottom of that:) - SVRTVDude (Yell - Toil) 02:24, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
Thank you so much
You have done so much great work on the Moon High School article; I really appreciate that! OK, so for the movie thing, what we need is something - anything that mentions it. Is a Moon High School sign really visible in the movie? If so, that would satisfy me, but it would be nice to have something written that says that. --Chris Griswold (☎☓) 03:43, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:Cornell district logo.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Cornell district logo.gif. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 21:06, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
Erie-stub
Hi - a stub template or category which you created has been nominated for deletion or renaming at Wikipedia:Stub types for deletion. The stub type, which was not proposed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, does not meet the standard requirements for a stub type, either through being incorrectly named, ambiguously scoped, or through failure to meet standards relating to the current stub hierarchy or likely size, as explained at Wikipedia:Stub. Please feel free to make any comments at WP:SFD regarding this stub type, and in future, please consider proposing new stub types first! Grutness...wha? 06:23, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

Image:Mall Shape.gif listed for deletion
An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Mall Shape.gif, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. TenPoundHammer 23:53, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
- I changed my mind. I'm keeping the image. TenPoundHammer 02:51, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
- hehe. I should check Wiki more often. --Write_On_1983 talk | contribs 17:20, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
KDKA-TV
You think you know what you are doing when it comes to KDKA. YEAH RIGHT!!!!! I watch KDKA morning, noon, and night, and I would know what's what. Unlike you who probably thinks he can all the news in eleven minutes. Kdkatpir2 17:45, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, quit editing this page: you have no idea what your talking about.
- What is with your obsession with trying to get KDKA anchor pages deleted? Quit it! It's NONE of your business! We want these pages on here, so stop your nonsense AT ONCE! Kd lvr 17:50, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
- Do you see him bolding every word he types? Does he have any socks I dont know about? Is he trolling? I dont think so. YOUR edits are some of the most annoying Ive ever seen. Please see His proposed Community Ban.--TREYWiki 15:03, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
Use of abbreviations
Just a note that I've undone this edit to WERG. The same edit was reverted at Erie SeaWolves. Per WP:MOS, when abbreviations are used, "[t]he standard writing style is to spell out the acronym or abbreviation on the first reference [...]." Likewise, WP:ABB indicates that "[t]he U.S. postal codes, such as TX for Texas, should not be used to stand in for their states in normal text." If you have any stylistic questions, feel free to consult the Manual of Style. Thanks! --Kinu t/c 07:08, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
KD Twins
Yeah, they cause problems, they engage in blantant sockpuppetry, break the rules and get away with it. I f***ing HATE that. You or I break the rules and we are out, people like that break the rules and they skate by. HATE that. Oh well, he will screw up....and I will be there waiting and watching. - SVRTVDude (VT) 02:42, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
Then simply go by the criteria
instead of making up your own.[1] There is NO criterion anywhere in Wikipedia policy that says, "Local television news anchors do not warrant enough credibility to receive individual pages." If you think there is, please simply post a link to the policy alongside your quote. And simply reading the criteria for AfD would tell you that this is not a valid criterion for deletion.
Make a case about THIS television anchor, not about ALL local television anchors, especially when your case is NOT policy.
This creates problems in AfD because articles that should be deleted are kept for bogus reasons, when they are offered up for deletion with criteria that don't exist and aren't part of the deletion process. In the amount of wasted energy expended with User:TREYWiki spamming every page he can with comments about the supporters, failing at Community Bans because of lack of process, failing at RFCU because of lack of process, vandalizing these users' talk pages with his bogus vandal tags, when he's the vandal, what exactly am I to conclude when the whole mess started by you making up some criterion for deletion? I have no idea what is going on, but it's hard to assume good faith, when the criteria for deletion are clearly and plainly put out for everyone to see, you've offered up multiple pages for deletion, and other users are making false accusations against two users who simply disagree with you, and seem to think that users can't edit their own talk pages. What exactly should I conclude but that something else is going on designed to consume tons of space and time and get nothing done, precisely the end result?
If these users are problems, let them be the problems, don't make greater ones in an attempt to "get" them, because that doesn't work. The article falls or stands on its own merits, regardless of the notability of other local television news anchors (one of my local one wrote a book). Badly behaved editors who create disruptions on Wikipedia are easily aided by other editors who contribute worse disruptions in the attempt to go after them. Nothing was gained in this. KP Botany 04:12, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
KP Botany says "If these users are problems, let them be the problems" -- great to know that nothing is done about problematic people. It sounds like you're Ok with having users like Kd ruin Wikipedia. Lame duck. Also...local television news anchor pages -- no cited sources and don't have anything worthy therefore they should be deleted. --Write_On_1983 talk | contribs 01:21, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
Hello, Write On 1983. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Logo-anim.gif) was found at the following location: User:Write On 1983. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 05:55, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (Image:ERIsticker.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:ERIsticker.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:41, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:C Wolf.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:C Wolf.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:54, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
