Alex Shih Seriously, I am so mad. I just started putting my time into this project, and I get blocked for being a suspected socketpuppet? I also spent a lot of time reading wiki policy, before editing more extensively and that contributes to me getting blocked for looking like a more experienced user? :You "spent a lot of time reading wiki policy" but still edited a page you weren't supposed to and didn't go to the link I put in the edit summary pointing to the Arbcom decision when I reverted you? --NeilN talk to me 12:19, 9 April 2018 (UTC) |

Ottoman-Portuguese War
I see you've undone a contribution I've made to the Ottoman-Portuguese war. Don't you agree with the post? Can I know the reason? — Preceding unsigned comment added by SirPortuga (talk • contribs) 18:11, 8 April 2018 (UTC)
- @SirPortuga: Yes, of course. It doesn't really make sense to point readers at the references in general in the introduction, because this is trivial and could be inserted into every article then. Also, it isn't considered to be acceptable to promote an individual source, such as "watch this video:". You can list the video as a reference or weblink though. wikitigresito (talk) 18:18, 8 April 2018 (UTC)
- I see your point, it should fit in the Portuguese background then. Although the source is individual, (we will not see oficial channels talking about this topic, unfortunately) it adds a lot to the article since it explicits the military tactics concerning portuguese warfare in the Indian Ocean in the 16th century supported by academic sources too. Are we agreed in this term? SirPortuga (talk) 18:28, 8 April 2018 (UTC)
- @SirPortuga: No matter how relevant the video is, it doesn't qualify for being explicitly mentioned in the introduction. Look, I included it as a weblink further down, what do you think? wikitigresito (talk) 18:37, 8 April 2018 (UTC)

Mate, to finish this off, lets put this link in military aspects since it presents info about Portuguese military aspects and their outcome in battles not shown in the article. Shall we! — Preceding unsigned comment added by SirPortuga (talk • contribs) 18:43, 8 April 2018 (UTC)

@Alex Shih: What the fuck? Are you kidding me? wikitigresito (talk) 06:42, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
@Alex Shih: You actually blocked me! This is incredible. I have never been blocked from wikipedia and only made well-intended edits. Who do you suspect me to be??? wikitigresito (talk) 06:52, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
- Not kidding. Please read Wikipedia:Sock puppetry and reveal all of the accounts that you have concurrently used against policy. Alex Shih (talk) 06:54, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
@Alex Shih: I have not used any other accounts against policy. I have used one other account to edit one specific page, but never edited the same page (or any related page) with this account. I have occasionally made small edits without logging in, in the past years (maybe a max. of 10, never disruptive). wikitigresito (talk) 07:03, 9 April 2018 (UTC)

Wikitigresito (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
2. I have started using wikipedia more extensively and got involved in more complicated issues after I nominated a page Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Michael Blakey (music producer) for deletion. Thereby, I read wiki-guidelines and learned a lot from more established users, this might make me appear more experienced than I am. 3. I patrolled recent changes in the last two days and made a lot of constructive edits (such as reverting vandalism) and I have received multiple "thanks" for my edits.
4. I have never made any ill-intended edits. wikitigresito (talk) 07:18, 9 April 2018 (UTC)Notes:
- In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
- Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting
with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.
{{unblock reviewed |1= 1. I have used one other account to edit one specific page, but never edited the same page (or any related page) with this account.
: Sorry, what is this "other account", and why was it registered to edit "one specific page"? Have you read the page I asked you to read, in particular WP:SCRUTINY? Alex Shih (talk) 07:24, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Alex Shih:I used it for editing one specific page, because friends and other people know that I use tigresito (Spanish for "little tiger") as a username on the web and I don't want people to know that I edited this page. As I said, I have never used it to pretend to be a second person and never edited that page or a related page with this account. Do I really have to disclose the name to get unblocked? wikitigresito (talk) 07:38, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
