In answer to your question, Phoenix of9 complained about the Bible references as giving undue weight to Christianity. Of course, this is absurd, but I am trying to keep him or her from continuing to revert every edit I make to the page. |

Mentoring
Read over the links in the welcome to start to get an idea of what to look for. In general for new articles, you want to make sure that the subject meets the proper criteria for inclusion (WP:CORP for companies, WP:BIO for a person, etc.}. I'll take a look at your edits and let you know if I see anything good or bad. Wildthing61476 20:21, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
I saw a couple of your edits, good job so far! Just a couple things you want to remember though, if you comment on a talk page or a discussion, make sure you use ~~~~ at the end of the post. Also, ALWAYS use an edit summary. If you have to, turn on the option to confirm whether you entered a edit summary or not in your user preferences. Wildthing61476 00:56, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
Hey, just wanted to say keep it up, you're doing a great job with looking out for vandalism. Wildthing61476 20:39, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Re:Blocked IPs
Hey Tomayres, IPs can edit their own talk pages while blocked and that's it. This is so they may appeal their block, and give comment. I've blocked the IP in question for 31 hours. Thanks for the tip, but in the future, you can report abuse to WP:AIV. Thanks again, and if you need more help just contact me. Malinaccier (talk) 22:55, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
Please do not revert my edits as you have done here and call it vandalism. We are talking about politics and i made a metaphorical anology. warnings
Hello Tomayres.
I noticed that you revert quite a bit of vandalism. Thank you for helping keep Wikipedia the best encyclopedia in the world!
However, I have noticed that you do not always leave warnings on the users talk pages. You should always leave an appropriate warning after reverting vandalism. (The full list of talk page warnings may be found here, along with some suggestions and guidelines for using them.)
Be sure to leave the correct level of warning, and if the users has been warned four times in the last month, (Check the users talk page history. Some users remove warnings from their talk pages.) report by going to this page and following the instructions.
Thank you again, and may vandalism fail. Ultra! 19:19, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Harmony in Violence EP
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Harmony in Violence EP, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. - Sure I'm around if you need me to do anything. Tomayres (talk) 17:01, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
- Glad to hear you're still up for it! I'll tell you briefly whats going on. A while back, all of the pages in Category:TUGS characters (a category itself i'm going to speedy in a couple of days) were nominated for deletion, and in reality, they all deserved it. The articles on the series' characters were listy, and basically full of information that didn't warrant its own article. So they were gone, and all of them were redirected to List of recurring TUGS characters/List of minor TUGS characters (depending on importance).
- At the moment some of the more simple things that need doing is a helluva lot of relinking. In case you haven't noticed, about 99% of the links which direct to the two above pages are redirects from pages linking to the actual character pages ("Ten Cents (TUGS)", "Warrior (TUGS)"), so this needs sorted out a bit. I've been trying to sort this out myself, but obviously with their being so many characters, and so little editors active in the project, it takes a while. I'd love to have your help on the matter.
- Did you ever watch the show yourself? Cheers again, --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 12:56, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
a perfect murder/modern crimes
how is that vandalism, if all 5 members of a previous lineup of a band are together again under a new name and i put it on their page? and i included factual biographical information that keeps being taken down, the page right now looks disgusting because its not entirely accurate and leaves out information
sorry if i sound mad, but im just curious to know why this is occuring
- Hi there. The page is about the band A Perfect Murder. I would consider it ok to write a paragraph on how the band have reformed to create a new band called Modern Crimes. I am aware that you did this, but it was not this that I removed. I removed dates next to the current band members, as I decided that this looked untidy, and that the current band members should ultimately be moved in to the info box. As for the factual biographical information, everything you add should be cited with sources. I apologise for calling your most recent edit to the page 'vandalism', as this is quite clearly incorrect and I have removed my warning from your talk page. Thanks. Tomayres (talk) 17:42, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
oh okay, i understand, no problem :D
yeah, alot of the biographical info I had was found on their official page, but thats long gone even though its still listed as a source, I'll see if I can find another source though, I mean I have all of their albums but its not like I can list that as a source lol
thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by TheLordStefan (talk • contribs) 02:18, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Andy Wright Bartok.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Andy Wright Bartok.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 17:06, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
- Sorted. Thanks. Tomayres 18:34, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
tagging of Small plots
You tagged Small plots with {{db-a7}}. WP:CSD#A7 does not apply to articles about places or neighborhoods. Nor do I see any other speedy criterion which would apply. Since the article is nearly identical to another from the same creator, i have redirected one to the other.
Please be careful when applying CSD tags. i know you are working hard to keep vandalism and inappropriate pages out of the project, and I thank you. But there may be only two sets of eyes on a page tagged for speedy deletion, so each person must be particularly careful. A7 is intentionally a very narrow criterion, and applies only to a very limited list of article categories. Please do not use it where it does not apply. Thank you. You are now a Reviewer
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged revisions, underwent a two-month trial which ended on 15 August 2010. Its continued use is still being discussed by the community, you are free to participate in such discussions. Many articles still have pending changes protection applied, however, and the ability to review pending changes continues to be of use.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under level 1 pending changes and edits made by non-reviewers to level 2 pending changes protected articles (usually high traffic articles). Pending changes was applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't grant you status nor change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.

baffled
So you just reverted my edit and reinstated the word "fornicate" in a Seinfeld episode summary. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fusilli_Jerry
Aside from the fact that this seems like a complete waste of time for both of us, do you really think "fornicate" makes sense here? Try reading it, it is completely out of place with the tone of the article. When was the last time you asked your wife/girlfriend "would you like to fornicate"? They definitely did not use the word "fornicate" in the episode in question. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.77.17.178 (talk) 18:03, 16 November 2010 (UTC)

Editing "Jarosław Lasecki"
Hi, by mistake I added not proper information about Mr. Jarosław Lasecki. I need to edit it without vandalism, but unfortunately I'm a new user of Wikipedia so its quite difficult at this time. Would it be possible, at least to block the informations I have added?
Thanks for your help —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bobolus (talk • contribs) 15:29, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
- Bobolus is not the author of the text. I am. This text was a commissioned translation that the client (presumably by Bobolus on behalf of the subject of the article) has indicated that does not wish to pay for on the basis of his or her belief that the final sentence "He is married with five children" suggested that the subject is married to five children. I propose that the line in the article be changed to the correct English "married with five children", and if the poster indeed refuses to pay for the translation, then I assert that this text is my intellectual property and therefore should be removed until an article without conflicts concerning intellectual property can be created. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.150.77.247 (talk) 14:34, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
- I will not seek to give you any advice on copyright violations, as I have limited knowledge in the area. As far as I am concerned and aware, there are no official copyright issues concerning the article (no official copyright claim has been logged) and so any text which is not written in correct English should be changed. I will change the last sentence to something which hopefully should satisfy everyone. If you still have legal concerns then I will attempt to find an administrator who has knowledge in the area. Tom, I saw your request to block this IP. I have several concerns:
- Nobody's warned him yet.
- Nobody's asked him what he's doing.
- Are you sure he's doing the wrong thing? I'll note that he's also adding some categories to other people's biographies.
- Nobody seems to be reverting all these edits. That could just be due to collective inattention but it's interesting nevertheless that, so far, nobody seems troubled. Also, what's the point of blocking someone for vandalism if it's not going to get repaired.
Skim Guide to administrator intervention against vandalism when you get the chance. I'm not a stickler for requiring every report follow every last requirement in that guideline when it's obvious that someone is deliberately damaging our articles. Nevertheless, I do worry about blocking someone who may be trying to do so something useful.
Tom, thanks for watching over our articles and spotting this situation. I suggest you contact this person and if necessary, revert his edits. If he won't communicate and if he persists, then maybe we need to look at stronger measures.

Well, I have cited the Enigma Magazine right down in the page, but I am not sure how to cite it right up. I mean, how can I cite, like, million times from one source. I have posted my reference in External links. Would you help me fixing that?
Regarding the pictures, What is the proper license of Flickr's pictures, for example? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.234.67.179 (talk) 19:31, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, so I can see you have referenced Enigma Magazine once by typing <ref>enigma-mag, p. 229.</ref>. If you wanted to repeat this reference in several places in the article, and wanted to avoid typing the whole thing out again, then you can change the opening tag of the first use of the reference from <ref> to <ref name=Enigma>. Once you have done this, you can than repeat the reference at any point in the article simply by typing <ref name=Enigma/>. Notice the backslash (/) and the fact that you do not need a closing tag. Hope this helps! Tomayres (talk) 21:21, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

As you will see on Flickr, the file you have suggested has the licensing logos which correspond to "CC-BY-ND", and cannot be uploaded to Wikipedia. Tomayres (talk) 00:53, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

Vandalism?
Hi, I was wondering why my edit to Will Slade was changed. I only made grammatical alterations, and this is by no means an intention to compromise the integrity of Wikipedia. Perhaps you were referring to the Will Smith page, as you typed in the message? If that is the case, then I am not your culprit, because I only edited the Will Slade page. I think there has been a misunderstanding. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.12.13.5 (talk) 19:05, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
