Re: your last edit summary - there's actually already a post on the talk page which puts forward two sources which would suggest he has always been a Barca player and never permanently signed for Roma - just above your post at the bottom of the talk page. Now, it strikes me as being a complex situation. Perhaps, given that IPs edit this article quite a lot, it might be better for someone to try to bring together all the sources we have to try to reach some sort of consensus on the talk from the involved editors. This can then be referenced for IPs whenever a change is made. I am aware, for example, that several sources from two years ago seem to suggest he was sold on a permanent deal to Roma.
It's all very confusing and complex - not least because of the buy back deal which, to an extent, makes it look as if it's a loan rather than a permanent move. There is probably some sort of consensus we can come to to how we describe this - it may also be worthwhile canvassing opinion at WP:FOOTY as well. Blue Square Thing (talk) 12:47, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
Miralem Sulejmani - Bits and pieces
Hi there SUBZEE, AL here,
i'd like to propose a compromise in this player's article (and overall of course), and then tell you of something which is a definitive "no-no" on WP, let's go bit by bit; 1 - please, allow for the HONOURS to be before the STATISTICS chart (there's no consensus there really, but i'm trying to reach one by formatting all articles i edit the same way), and let INT.GOALS stay under INT.CAREER and not STATISTICS, it's not really a stat is it? 2 - please allow the chart to be called STATISTICS (with the CLUB and INTERNATIONAL sub-sections), it's obvious it's about statistics isn't it?
The "no-no" bit: we don't write "now Serbia" or "now Lithuania" in the player's infobox, we write the name of the country when the person was born (YUGOSLAVIA, SOVIET UNION, PORTUGUESE ANGOLA, etc) and that's it.
Attentively, keep up the good work --AL (talk) 23:22, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
Hi AL, Thank you for your suggestions, I will follow your lead and address the points as you have brought them up, 1. I feel like the logical order to follow up sections *Club career and *International career, are to present both club and international career performance statistics, the next logical section which presents figures, making the literal section before it more tangible to the reader, would then be the Honours section, since it is a culmination of what was achieved during the career, provided the information from the aforementioned sections. It makes for a logical, easier, and more comprehendible read of the article, rather than having to jump sections. The International goals are indeed a statistic, and should be in the statistics section since it is an international goal tally which indicated date, opponent, score and difference which all makes up for statistical data. They are indeed stats. 2. I don't object to simply calling the section statistics, that is not that big of a difference but the order the sections appear in, and including the goal tally in the statistics section, makes the most sense to me from a literary perspective.
In terms of not adding what the country is now referred to makes little sense to me, I understand wanting to keep the birthplace in the article sensitive to the geo-political affiliation at the time. But the article should also be sensitive to the present geo-political position, out of respect for it's people and what was endured in the birth of said nation. This subject is more sensitive to those who were affected by the war, and I feel adding the current country name is the more respectful and considerate compromise, as well as adding more accuracy and causing less confusion.
Thank you for raising these points, and I look forward to your response.
Regards,
Subzzee (talk) 17:19, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
- Here's my (a bit tardy) reply: thanks about the statistics compromise, i'll also compromise on the international goals bit. About the last issue, why does it make little sense to you mate? It's not a lack of respect for anybody on the face of the earth: take for example the Croatians, they are immensely proud (sometimes to the point of idiocy and/or violence, and not just them of course, as Oscar Wilde once put it, "Patriotism is the virtue of the wicked") of their heritage. They can pout all they want, but (in the light of the example i provide), anyone born there before the country's independence WAS BORN in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
You want another example about the patriotic approach someone have and that reflects here on WP? Many footballers (Carles Puyol, Asier Illarramendi, Fran González as examples) have their lead and/or infobox altered from SPAIN/SPANISH to (respectively) CATALAN/BASQUE/GALICIAN, really "smart" as those are not even nations! Some, on the other hand, don't like the detail we add to the body of article ("X player born in Barcelona, Catalonia" for example) AT ALL because they fear we are being separatists/nationalists in our approach, and immediately alter it to "Born in Barcelona, Spain", even if the subsequent intro poorly reads afterwards "Born in Barcelona, Spain, is a Spanish footballer").
Tough issue indeed but i've presented my "defense", kind regards and happy weekend from Portugal --AL (talk) 23:30, 11 July 2013 (UTC)

Career Stats Box for Dutch Players.
Hello, I recently looked at the Wang Chengkuai page and I saw that you added a reserves statistics box below the overall career stats box. I am just wondering though, why? I mean, Jong Ajax do play in a fully-professional league, the 2nd Division of Dutch football. So wouln't something like this be more suitable? Just wondering because that is how I always see it anyway. Cheers. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 21:19, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
- Hi ArsenalFan700. Thank you for your suggestion. The reason why the reserves box is below the actual stats box because the way the system works in the Netherlands is that Wang can still appear in a first team match for the duration of the season. Also the reserves team does not compete in any Cup/Continental/Super Cup or Promotions/Relegation playoffs so in that case your box will work with the strike through, and will be what I will convert it to should he not make any first team appearances this season, but for the time being the players are interchangeable for both teams, and I thought this would look a little more structured, but I will give your suggestion some thought. But question is how do then do it for players who are competing in both leagues at the moment? There are several instances where that is the case. (Subzzee (talk) 21:30, 21 November 2013 (UTC))
- Hi again and thanks for the quick responce. Anyway, I don't know. I like to look at the career box on Gerard Deulofeu's page as an indication of how it should be done in that case. However, one problem I just realized is the fact that there are first-teamers as well playing for Jong Ajax sometimes. I mean, guys like Daley Blind have played for the side so it would seem strange to add two rows (one being for first team and the second for reserves) to an already established player. So I will leave it to you. I don't mind the current set-up as long as it fits with the correct system that Dutch football has right now. Cheers. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 23:10, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
- That's what I mean, in the Netherlands players can appear in both sides simultaneously, which is why I went for the format I have currently setup. That way the caps are counted, but it is also clear which caps for the reserves team, and which are for the first team. FOr now this was the best solution I found, and is also how it is being done on the Dutch Wikipedia site, but I welcome any further input, thanks again. Cheers (Subzzee (talk) 23:41, 21 November 2013 (UTC))

- Wrong, go check a newspaper. Type in google Lazic and Olympiacos and there several reputable sources that show he signed a 2,5 year contract with Olympiacos just yesterday. In fact there are several refrences in the players wiki profile that state the same thing. (Subzzee (talk) 14:18, 1 February 2014 (UTC))
Well, since you live in Amsterdam and heard about this, it might actually be a true fact. However, here in Greece the press hasn't typed anything about Lazic signing with Olympiacos. I believe it's wise to wait until a proper announcement has been made, before moving on to editing the team section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by CostantinosGR (talk • contribs) 15:32, 1 February 2014 (UTC)

About VV Oosterhout
Hi Subzzee.
The problem with this article is that it was about an amateur football club. Generally they don't meet WP:CLUB or Wikipedia:Notability (sports). Does it get a lot of media attention, or has it a long, well documented history?
A player for the club has a Wikipedia article, but that's because he has played for a national football team.

In answer to your question - it's a non free image, therefore it has to be rather small and low resolution. I tend to tag anything I see over about 350 pixels (on the narrow side) for reduction. Just leave it alone, we have a robot that will inspect it and change it to an approved size within 24 hours or so - there is no rush to do anything. A typical size for a square(ish) image - such as yours would be about 300 pixels, a good example of a square image would be a CD cover, and they are nearly all 300x300. If you wanted you could probably crop it (the whitespace around is not needed) and just reduce it a bit to get to that sort of size. Ronhjones (Talk) 20:37, 28 March 2014 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 27
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited AFC Ajax in the national cup, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Stefan Pettersson, Jan Mulder and Rob de Wit (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Sorry
I subscribe to WP:WTAF. If you don't have the template ready to go, don't add it to an article =) Thanks for creating the template though. Walter Görlitz (talk) 23:36, 7 June 2014 (UTC)
- No worries, I work from a sandbox on my local machine and copy it over when it is ready. I was skipping a step, by creating the link and then inserting the content. Cheers, (Subzzee (talk) 23:44, 7 June 2014 (UTC))
Clarence Seedorf honours
I would appreciate if you actually checked your 'sources' before re-adding unreferenced content about WP:BLP; where does Soccerway mention all the individual honours you blindly added back? GiantSnowman 18:04, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
- I would appreciate if you brought these changes you deem necessary to my attention next time before removing content which obviously took time and effort to create. If you feel this the best you can do to improve on an article then fine. I find it a rather counter productive way of going about improving Wikipedia articles, especially when it is content that can easily be verified. None of Llonel Messi or Cristaino Ronaldo's individual awards have references either, are you going to go wipe them off their pages as well? I don't mind doing the foot work to add references, so if you are too lazy to do it, then please drop me a line every once in a while with artices where you see necessary changes, and I can do it. It is very aggravating to revisit articles only to find that half of it has been erased by the snowman. Thanks (Subzzee (talk) 19:18, 1 August 2014 (UTC))
Speedy deletion nomination of Copa 60º Aniversario de Universidad Católica
![](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/1/15/Ambox_warning_pn.svg/48px-Ambox_warning_pn.svg.png)
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Copa 60º Aniversario de Universidad Católica requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organized event (tour, function, meeting, party, etc.), but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. 2014–15 in Dutch football
I see you're probably the best editor for Dutch football articles, perhaps you'd consider creating something like 2014–15 in English football for Dutch football, if you're not already too busy ;) 2A02:1205:502D:4170:C5:796C:D02B:1893 (talk) 22:22, 23 August 2014 (UTC)
Removal of talk page discussions
I see you are removing talk page content from Talk:Daley Blind. This is not appropriate as the discussion involves more editors than just you. You referred to WP:REDACTED in your edit summary however I cannot see how this policy applies to the situation. If I am missing something please explain it to me. Chillum 16:27, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
- I do not wish to have my comments on this talk page, as it is within my right to remove my post. I am having a difficult time with the other user who commented. If they wish to restore their commentary that is fine, but leave me out if it. This user has been Wikihounding me for weeks now, and I wish to remove any or all recorded contact with this user since is getting to a point where it starting to feel like harassment. Thank you for understanding, but I need to create space, and do not wish to be involved in any form of interaction with said user. (Subzzee (talk) 16:54, 1 September 2014 (UTC))
I am sorry but it is a multi-person discussion about the article. People who were reverted need to be able to read the discussion on the talk page. You are allowed to remove your own comments but not if someone has responded and it is relevant to the article.
If you do not wish to engage in discussion with someone you do not need to respond to them. Chillum 16:58, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
- It is not a multi person discussion, there are merely two users involved. This particular user has been going over every single edit I make on Wikipedia only mere minutes after each edit and changing my edits for weeks now, and of course he responded to my enquiry. I have not asked him to comment and although every user is free to comment of course, this users actions are borderline psychotic, with him altering each and every change I make on Wikipedia only minutes after I submit my changes. it is as though he is cyberstalking and I consider it a form of harassment. I do not wish to have contact with this user, and do not want to have my post shared on this talk page. Thank you for understanding. (Subzzee (talk) 17:08, 1 September 2014 (UTC))
Multi means "more than one", two is more than one. It was a multi-person discussion. I have suggested to LRD NO that you are feeling a bit crowded by him. I have also suggested that if your behavior is really an issue then somebody else will mention it to you instead of him.
I hope you can understand that your actions are open to scrutiny by any member of the community and that LRD NO is allowed and encouraged to point out when anyone has a mistake or violated our policies.
I also hope LRD NO realizes that it may be better to leave the scrutiny of your contributions to somebody else for at least a little while. Chillum 17:13, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
I have been editing, translating, creating and contributing to Wikipedia for Years. I stay in my lane and focus on my performance and am respectful of people's space. I have had editors point out differences in the past, which is fine. We reach an agreement, learn something new and part ways. I have never had someone so persistently alter my contributions as in the past weeks as by this user. In all the years no one has ever been so disruptive to my experience on this site. Any contribution I make are altered minutes later by this user. I have created many pages on Wikipedia, but this behavior is quite silly and its getting to be quite patronizing and annoying.
